Osprey  Workshops  2018                      Mike  Dunlevy  Photography

The workshops are timed to coincide with the Osprey breeding season at Rutland Water in Leicestershire. Rutland Water has had breeding Osprey’s since 2001 and last year had 8 breeding pairs and these birds raised nearly 20 chicks. Our session runs from 4.30am(meet at 4.15am) until 8.30am for the AM sessions or 4.30pm(meet4.15pm) until dusk for the PM sessions and the dates are timed to coincide with chicks that are depending on the adult birds to feed them. We have exclusive use of a purpose built hide holding only 4 people and I am on hand to give advice and coach on all aspects of the photography. Photographing Ospreys is a very exciting and exhilarating task and we are planning to get the best shots possible to include them catching fish. The location of the hide is just 10 minutes from Rutland Water(full joining instruction sent on booking) and we also have resident Kingfishers, Kestrels, and visiting Red Kites and occasional Muntjac Deer, so a wildlife photographers paradise.
