We, CINEYATRA (Foundation 12.12.2012) a social organization started with futuristic vision to promote Art, Culture and Cinema. Our motive is to inspire the people who have lost the touch of real music (folk), painting, sculpture, literature and cinema.

Cineyatra will strive to be a platform for exchange – of ideas, of films, of communities. By picking out the best of regional and world cinema for small town and rural audiences, it will ultimately aim for a collective cultural evolution. It will strive to inculcate a love and appreciation for different kinds of films – a sort of proto audience “training”. Recognizing that our local art forms are not to be discarded in the pursuit of a new novelty, the festival seeks to incorporate open local art forums – an open space where attendees also interact with painters, sculptors, local artisans, folk musicians and the like. Cineyatra will celebrate not just cultural but artistic diversity while at the same time fostering their inclusion into the melting pot that is cinema. By traveling, the reach of the festival is greater, leading to the foundations of a spread out network that will be of service to the cinema of the future. An important aim is to form an open database of artists from the areas covered so that not only are we connected to them and vice versa, but also so that they can be connected to each other.

AJAY KUMARAJAY is a young graduate of National school of drama, 2000. A multi discipline artist who has been trying to explore the kathaa-gaayan-vaachan style for many years. In this venture he is relying on various elements of traditional indian theater. Using narrative music as a device that helps to underline the theme and in the development of the dramatic conflict.on -stage- make -up and steps from pandwaani and bideshiya, bhaandgiri, swaang and other folk forms are well integrated. working in tv and film industry as an actor and writer Ajay is a versatile theater and film personality.
