Definitions to know! Biotic- all of the living components in an
ecosystem Abiotic- all of the non-living components
in an ecosystem
Biosphere- Areas on and around the earth that can
sustain life Examples hydrosphere, lithosphere
Biome- An area with characteristic conditions
(climate, soil and organisms)
Ecosystem- All the organisms in a particular area and
the abiotic elements that they interact with
Community- A group of populations that interact
within an ecosytem Polar bears, seals, fish
Population- A group of organism that are the same
species within an ecosystem Ex. Polar bears
Individuals- An individual organism Ex. A polar bear
