IMPROVE PLANNING, INCREASE EFFICIENCY:G.I.B DISPO-COCKPIT FORECASTFOR SALES PLANNING AND FORECAST

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Forecast supports

the process of decentralized planningand offers consolidation functions with-

in a central planning monitor. The

application regulates and controls the

transfer to the ERP system or to alterna-

tive subsystems. In addition, several

different features in the field of forecast

and monitoring are provided and sup-

ported by workflow, traffic light and

alarm functionalities.

Our sales planning and forecast toolG.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Forecast is fast and

easy to operate and thus unfolds a high

degree of efficiency. The rolling sales

planning is used to optimize production

plans. G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Forecast

permits a prompt realization of opti-

mum forecast procedures in order to

increase your performance and to opti-

mize your stocks.

The forecast models provided by G.I.B

Dispo-Cockpit Forecast allow accurateprognoses and a correspondingly reli-

able planning accuracy. Requirements

are calculated on the basis of historical

business volume data, causal factors,

marketing campaigns, market intelli-

gence and sales targets. These pro-

cesses are supported by algorithms

according to Croston or Winters, by

median method etc. depending on the

course of the examined time series

(control signals).

Thanks to the embedded upload and

download functionality it is possible to

integrate data from other SAP systems

into requirements calculation. Further-

more, important information from non-

SAP systems can also be included into

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Forecast. By means

of these functions for example even

smaller sales companies, which do not

yet use a consistent SAP system, areenabled to integrate their forecast

requirements into consolidation.

Via corresponding download proce-

dures data may be collected cyclically

by means of a planning calendar. These

can be made available in respective

aggregations by suppliers in form of

e-mail, CSV-files or on market places. In

this way it is guaranteed that all corpo-

rate planning areas are taken intoaccount, which leads to a significant

increase in forecast accuracy and a

lasting boost of your competitive edge.

ANALYZE POTENTIALS,SIMULATE SERVICE LEVEL:G.I.B DISPO-COCKPIT CONTROLLINGFOR INVENTORY OPTIMIZATION

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Controlling helps

you to realize a sustainable inventoryoptimization with a minimum expen-

diture of time. You will be supported by

industry-specific rule sets, based upon

any number of dimensions, e.g. delivery

classes, product life cycle such as

LRODI, value (ABC), constancy (XYZ)

and many more. These rule sets can be

implemented into G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit

as pre-configured industry content. The

pre-configuration reduces product launch

time and leads to a higher degree ofefficiency.

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Controlling allows

to control inventory and MRP from one

central application. By determination of

certain indicators such as capital turno-

ver and range of coverage you will

obtain – automated through applica-tion of rule set – an optimum proposi-

tion for adjusting your MRP parameters.

Consequence: optimization of your key

figures. With ease you can realize a

target-oriented navigation through your

inventory key figures and obtain a cru-

cial transparency.

Thanks to the simulation mode you can

simulate the provided rule sets and their

effects on stock and service level. Thissimulation may be calculated on the

level of an individual material, of user-

defined aggregation and of a whole

plant as well. The simulation mode may

be regarded as a kind of “learning

ground” where the cooperative effects

of different MRP types, lot-sizing proce-

dures (Andler, Groff, etc.) and safetyvalues can be forecast accurately. This

ensures safety and acceptance of the

application.

Controlling Circuit

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Controlling helps you torealize a lasting inventory optimization witha minimum expenditure of time.

With the G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Controlling Dash- board you can control your inventory and yourMRP from one central application.

The multifunctional HTML-interface within the G.I.BDispo-Cockpit Controlling Dashboard is not limitedto the visualization of ABC/XYZ distributions. It also allows individual representations in the fieldof product life cycle. No matter if you are going toapply the LRODI, the ELAN or your own individualmethod. Thanks to the integrated formula genera- tor there are many possibilities available to useyour logic for the creation of further decision trees.

Thanks to the simulation mode you can simulateavailable rule sets and their effects on stock andservice level.

Stock segmentation graphically illustrates therepartition of your inventory at a single glance. It represents a statistic method of materials manage-

ment which clarifies and visualizes certain effectsin the field of stock keeping. As all stock materialshave a certain range of coverage and a purchaseprice, these two characteristics can be related toeach other in a graphical representation.

Individually defined or industry-specific content rulesets will support you in converting control parame- ters via decision tree into MRP-effective parameters.

ADVANCE YOUR IDEAS, HIT YOUR TARGETS:G.I.B DISPO-COCKPIT KANBANFOR PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Kanban addresses

companies already employing Kanbanprocesses or considering a Kanban

implementation. An individually defin-

able decision tree will guide you to the

optimum Kanban process.

By means of a user-defined question-

naire the process check allows to deter-

mine the Kanban suitability of a material.

As a result of the check you will obtain

a list of all Kanban processes which are

applicable to the material.

In order to determine suitable materials

for Kanban more than one perspectivewill be necessary. The XYZ/XYZ analy-

sis classifies materials of the G.I.B

Dispo-Cockpit Kanban at the level of

plant, material, cost center/supply area

(demand source) according to their

consumption quantity on the one hand

and according to the number of access-

es on the other. You may conduct a

direct classification (current indicator)

or a delta-classification as well.

In case of already existing control

cycles, control cycle dimensioninggenerates default values for control

cycle optimization. In case of an initial

generation of control cycles default

values for dimensioning are created.

Both procedures are conducted accord-

ing to user-defined formulas.

Controlling Circuit

Kanban represents a method of replenishment con- trol following the push-pull principle and basedupon the requirement of consuming units in theproduction process. Control cycles on cost center/ supply area level constitute the core element of thiskind of production control.

The predefined operation mode within the G.I.BDispo-Cockpit Kanban module and the integratedtraffic light control permit a fast and convenientaccess to this type of replenishment control and along-term stock reduction of certain intermediateand finished products.

DETERMINE SEQUENCE, ENHANCE CAPACITY:G.I.B DISPO-COCKPIT PLANNING FOR PRODUCTION PLANNING

Normally, planning-relevant capacities

belong to different production andresponsibility areas. Accordingly, in

G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Planning production

areas are divided into planning and

information areas which at the same time

represent the basis for the subsequent

WIP determination.

With G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit Planning you

will obtain a tabular planning table for

an optimum capacity planning and

sequencing of production, process andplanned orders or of run schedule quanti-

ties in the field of repetitive manufac-

turing. By drag and drop, orders which

have not yet been scheduled can be

scheduled in a simulation mode andchecked for feasibility within a graphical

display of the capacity situation before

conversion. Necessary capacity adjust-

ments because of breakdowns, company

vacation or extra shifts can be realized

in a fast and easy way.

The integration of classic application

functions concerning the processing of

production, process and planned orders

is available as well. Without any prob-lems topics such as conversion, release

and print of planned orders, scheduling,

confirmation, exception messages, miss-

ing parts situations, global availability,

COGI processing etc. can be detected, utilized and handled. Because of the

integration into the SAP system data will

always be up-to-date and online.

Many companies are facing the major

challenge of WIP and its periodic deter-

mination. With G.I.B Dispo-Cockpit

Planning cost surveys and cost analyses

including target/actual comparisons can

be created and transferred to different

WIP analyses including history and trendat the level of hierarchy nodes.
