Body of Lesson/ Input:1. Students will be asked the questions: If you could make it to the Olympics

what sport would it be for and why?

2. Assign countries to students and have them create a team cheer

3. Explain to students that we will be learning who air can have effects on the athletes. Within their country group, have the students consider why this is.

4. Ask students to volunteer some of the answers that they came up with. Write their answers on the board so students can add to their own lists. (

5. Students will engage in lab stations. Modelso they know what is expected. Explain that at each station, the students will take turns doing the experiment and recording the information down for the group. Check for understanding before sending the students off to try the labs.

Note: For each student to try out the five labs, it will probably take two classes

6. Have one person from each group clean up the last station they were at

7. Next, have the students record a copy of the information into their own notes. Model an example of how to property record information on the sheet so the students know what is expected. Have students work on this

8. Next class review what the students remember from the stations

9. Finish working on good copy of information

10. Ask students which activity was their favorite and if anything surprised them
