Introduction

One Drive – The Scottish Parliament is your personal store for your business documents. All documents stored within the One Drive are also available in your Office 365 - One Drive. This means that you will be able to access your business documents from any device providing you have internet access.

Including the following tasks

Accessing – One Drive - The Scottish Parliament

Saving to One Drive –Scottish Parliament

When saving standard Microsoft applications, you will find the One Drive – Scottish Parliament folder within your Save as command. This is your Store for your SP Business Documents.

Select File Save As

Double Click on OneDrive or select any OneDrive folder you have previously used.

Insert required name, the document is now saved.

All documents stored in OneDrive are Private until shared and are accessible from any internet device.




Accessing – MSP SharePoint Site

Sites – The Scottish Parliament is your store for your Team documents. All documents stored within Sites are also available in your Office 365 - Sites. This means that you will be able to access Team business documents from any device providing you have internet access.

Saving Documents to MSP SharePoint Site

When saving standard Microsoft applications, you will browse to SharePoint

If you right mouse click on your Members Name you can then Pin to Quick Access, therefore you will then see this at the top of File Explorer.




Sharing a Document

Although you are using your own One Drive storage location you have the added benefit that you can also SHARE your documents with other SP colleagues.

With the document Open you can select the SHARE icon

You can then select the appropriate users and select the Can edit or View option. The recipient will receive an email containing a link to your document.




File Explorer

You can organise your documents and Create folders using your File explorer icon on your

Taskbar.

Organise your documents into folders.

Folders you frequently use can be Pinned to Quick Access. Select the required folder and right mouse click – Pin to Quick Access




Accessing One Drive in Office 365

You can log into your Office 365 account https://login.microsoftonline.com/ using your SP email address [email protected] and password. You will be automatically redirected to the Scottish Parliament portal.

Select One Drive

All documents stored in OneDrive are Private until shared. You can open existing documents and Create New documents.

Creating a New Document in One Drive

Documents and Spreadsheets are created by using an Online version of the software. If you require to use advanced commands, you can select

the Icon and select then select Enable Editing icon

Editing an Existing Document

If you require to open an existing Document you can open – the document will be read only until you select the Edit Document.

Documents are automatically saved in Office 365 - OneDrive




Accessing MSP SharePoint in Office 365

Opening Documents

You can log into your Office 365 account https://login.microsoftonline.com/ using your SP email address [email protected] and password. You will be automatically redirected to the Scottish Parliament portal.

Select Sites

All documents stored in Sites – (SharePoint) are accessed by your Team.

Select Documents

You can Store Documents by dragging or selecting Upload. You can also select New to Create New Team Documents.
