OERs across sectors Overview
Emerging issues relating to OERs and FE and early lessons we could share or even approaches that may be useful. How will our OERs be used across the sectors – FE, work-based students, independent learners? Does this change how we develop or release them?
Projects and partners• challenges that are specific to FE• things that seem to work in FE • take-home message for other projects working with FE
Discussion• potential dissemination routes for FE lessons and outputs. • wider cross sector issues and sustainability

Thoughts from Terry McAndrew Bioscience Subject Centre and Techdis
• One of the challenges to FE is the higher proportion of students with accessibility needs
• FE grasps the cloud's resources more easily (as I see it) as it has less in-house provision than HE
• FE networks of resources (e.g. LSIS excellence gateway - http://www.excellencegateway.org.uk/) may not be well known to HE. Those in FE might find opportunities to tie in with similar subject disciplines in HE or link generic resources. http://skills.library.leeds.ac.uk/student_homepage.php with http://tlp.excellencegateway.org.uk/tlp/xcurricula/employability/index.php?i=9
• HE might be willing to learn from more the FE sector if it knew what worked well for them.
