Novena Prayer to Our Lady Of Vailankanni

Oh Most Holy Virgin! You were chosen by the Most Adorable Trinityfrom all

eternity to be the most pureMother of Jesus. Permit me, your humble and devoted servant, to

remind youof the joy received in theinstant of the Most Sacred Incarnation of our Divine Lord and

during thenine months you carried Him in

your chaste womb. I wish most sincerely that I could renew, orevenincrease that joy, by the fervour of myPrayers.Oh! Tender Mother of the afflicted! Grant me under my present

necessitiesthat special protection You havepromised to those who devoutly commemorate this ineffable joy.

Relying onthe infinite mercies of yourDivine Son, trusting in the promise which He has made that those

who askshould receive, and penetratedwith confidence in your powerful prayers, I most humbly entreat

youintercede for me. I beg you to obtainfor me the favours which I petition for in this novena, if it be the

HolyWill of God to grant them; to ask forme whatever graces I most stand in need of.

lively confidence I have in yourintercession. Accept it, I beseech you, in honour of that

Immaculate Heart was replenished during the abode of your divineSon in

your womb; in veneration ofwhich, I offer you the sentiments of my heart.

(Repeat the Hail Mary nine times)and then say the following prayer:-

Oh! Mother of God! accept these salutations in union with therespect and

veneration with which the AngelGabriel first hailed you, "Full of Grace" I wish most sincerely that

theymay become so many gems in thecrown of your incidental glory, which will increase in brightness to

the

end of the world.

I beseech you, Oh! comfortress of the afflicted, by the joy youreceived,

when the word was made flesh, toobtain for me the favours and graces, which I have now implored

throughyour powerful intercession. Forthis end I offer you all the good works which have even been

performed inyour honour. I most humbly

entreat you for the love of the amiable Heart of Jesus, with whichyours

was ever so inflammed, to hear myhumble prayers and to obtain my requests.- Amen.

This Novena prayer will be helpful to those helpless people wheneverything fails, and who wants speedyand visible answers to their agony.

Mary Immaculate, Mother of God and perfect Christian, youtreasured the word of God, in faith you pondered it in your heartand acted on it in charity and service.We know that as children of God and believing Christians, God's

loveis given to us, "...the love of God has been poured into our hearts

bythe Holy Spirit which has been given to us." (Romans 5:5) Your

heart as symbol of your love for God, for us, and for all creation,reminds us that "as long as we love one another God will Live in usAnd His Love will be complete in us." (John 4:12).
