1. On the occasion of Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) 20th Vardhanthi (వర�ం�), NTR Trust

initiated a flagship programme called “Legendary-Blood-Donation-Drive-(LBD)”. This mega volunteer

blood donation initiative was launched by our Managing Trustee Mrs. Nara Bhuvaneswari on 11

January, 2016.

2. LBD was successfully held across 140 locations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on 18 January, 2016,

in which 14,420 volunteer blood donors have donated blood. NTR Trust partnered with Indian Red

Cross Society, Government Blood Banks,... and 80 such Blood Banks in organizing this mega event.

3. Close to 50 celebrities have come forward to support LBD. Radio Partner Red FM and Transportation

Partner UBER joined hands with NTR Trust in making LBD a great success.

4. Remembering the legend Sri NTR on his 20th anniversary, a commemoration event titled “Telugu

vaari jnaapakam (�ెల�గ� �ా�� జ�� పకం)” was organized on 18 January, 2016 at NTR Trust Bhavan in

Hyderabad. As part of this a preview of the outline of NTR Museum was inaugurated by our Trustees.

In the evening Mr. Balakrishna (actor), Mr. Mohankanda (IAS), Mr. Seetharamaiah (confidante of Sri

NTR), Mr. Prasad (LVPEI) joined in an informal discussion where they shared their memories of Sri

NTR.

5. The second NTR-GEST (Girl Education Scholarship Test) was conducted at NTR Model School & Junior

college, Gandipet, Hyderabad on 31 January, 2016. More than 1,400 girl children took the NTR-GEST.

6. NTR Trust signed an MoU with UBER (an international online transportation network company) at the

NTR Trust Skill Development Centre on 01 February, 2016. Through this MoU NTR Trust has joined

hands with UBER to create 20,000 micro-entrepreneurs (Driver Partners on Uber platform) over the

next 3 years. On the very first day of the MoU signing NTR Trust helped enrol 19 Driver Partners with

brand new cars (worth about Rs. 13 million) onto the Uber platform that would provide sustained

livelihood for them.

Some of the girl children who came to take part in the NTR-GEST from across AP and Telangana

EDUCATION Our vision is to provide quality education to thousands of needy children who can’t afford it. Towards this

vision, we intend to establish one school in every district of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Key Activities:

1. NTR-GEST was conducted at NTR Model School & Junior College, Gandipet, Hyderabad on 31 January,

2016. NTR Trust will award 25 meritorious girl students with merit scholarships of Rs. 60,000/- each to

help them pursue their Intermediate course in AP & TS for two years.

2. NTR Trust organized a seminar for Tenth standard girls at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on 11

February, 2016. NTR Trust COO, Mr. Y Mohan Rao addressed the audience and created awareness

about various career options for girl students in Legal sector and Civil Services.

3. Mr. Parthosarothy Sengupta, a professor in Behavioral Sciences delivered an inspiring speech to the

students of NTR Model School on how to navigate the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity,

Ambiguity) environment with judicious caution and without losing focus on output and results.

HEALTH Key Activities:

1. Mrs. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee announced NTR Trust will undertake the “Legendary

Blood Donation Drive” on the 18 January, 2016 on the occasion of NTR’s 20th Vardhanthi. NTR Trust

CEO, Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan mentioned that LBD will be organized across 140 locations in the two

Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Close to 50 celebrities supported LBD.

2. On the occasion of 20th Vardhanthi of Legend NTR, NTR

Trust organized a Legendary Blood Donation drive in

multiple locations of Telangana & AP. More than 14,000

people voluntarily donated blood on this special

occasion.

3. NTR Trust organized a commemoration event “Telugu

vaari jnapaakam“ in memory of Legend NTR on 18

January, 2016 at NTRT Skill development Centre. Mr.

Nandamuri Bala Krishna, Telugu Hero presided over the

event as the Chief Guest. He fondly remembered some

of the memories of NTR as an actor, father and as a

leader. Mrs. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Mr. Nara Lokesh, Mrs.

Nara Brahmani & Mrs. Manchu Lakshmi attended this occasion .

4. Our Trustee Mr. Nara Lokesh’s most cherished dream is to build a state-of-the-art Museum for NTR. A

museum that captures the rich and diverse personality of NTR, something that takes one down the

memory lane of cinema and politics of the Telugu region. NTR Trust made an initial attempt to

showcase what this spectacular museum could look like.

5. During January and February 2016, various organizations and individuals have come forward to

voluntarily donate blood. We salute their amazing spirit and thank the institutions, employees, and

well-wishers for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of voluntary blood

donation. The venues of the blood donation camps were - ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Neelima

Hospital, Chartered Accountant College in Hyderabad, Uniparts India Limited, Minister Mrunalini

camp in Cheepurupalli, Sri Ganapathi Engineering college, Surekha Charitable Trust in Visakhapatnam.

6. During January and February 2016, NTR Trust organized free Medical Camps across Andhra Pradesh

and Telangana, wherein people were given free treatment and medicines. Most of the beneficiaries

were from Nippatlapadu - Prakasam, Kovelamudi, Guntur and Karlapalem - Guntur district.

EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOODS Key Activities:

1. NTR Trust signed an MoU with UBER on 01 February, 2016 in Hyderabad. This MoU with UBER is to

create 20,000 self-employment opportunities for youngsters in Telangana & AP. Managing Trustee

Mrs. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Mr. Nara Lokesh, Mrs. Nara Brahmani, Mr. David Plouffe Chief Advisor

(UBER) and UBER Hyderabad team were present on this occasion. 19 cars were handed over to proud

Driver-Owners on the day of MoU who looked forward to a bright future as self-employed individuals.

2. The Graduation Ceremony was held for students who underwent training at the Skill Development

Centre by Mr. Amarnath Rao, Soft Skills Trainer and Chief Knowledge Catalyst at Mind Matters on 18

February, 2016.

3. Professor AP Nattarajan gave a pep talk to the students of NTRT Skill development Centre, Hyderabad

on 24 February, 2016.

4. As a part of Smart AP Programme, 30 LED street lights were installed in Komarvolu village.

5. As part of Smart AP Programme, GIS Survey was completed in 3 Gram Panchayats, adopted by the

NRIs. Following are those gram panchayats - Injaram, Madduru & Jaganathapuram.
