Managing Trustee Smt. Nara Bhuvaneshwari Flagged off Relief material for Kerala Flood victims at NTR Trust in Hyderabad

HIGHLIGHTS

1. Smt. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of NTR Trust along with CEO Mr. T.Vishnu Vardhan flagged off the transport vehicle containing life-saving Medicines and 50,000 Note Books to help Rebuild Kerala.

2. NTR Trust signed a MoU with Olive Hospital to create a Blood Storage Centre (BSC). This will be the First BSC to be set up by a NGO in Hyderabad.

3. NTR Trust, in collaboration with Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS) and the Department of Language and Culture, organised the ‘Navyandhra Pustaka Sambaralu’ at Tirupati.

4. A Blood Donation camp was organized by NTR Trust in collaboration with INS DEGA- Indian Navy- Visakhapatnam.

HEALTH

Key Activities:

1. A Blood donation camp & Health Check-up camp was organised by NTR Trust at Prajay Megapolis Apartment, Miyapur. 14 residents came forward to donate blood. 67 residents came for the health check-up.

2. NTR Trust in collaboration with Katuri Hospital organized a Free Medical Camp at Guntur Mirchi Market Yard, Prathipadu Constituency, Guntur District. 475 residents came for the health check-up.

3. A free health check-up camp at Audipudi, Parchuru Constituency, Prakasam district was organized by NTR Trust in collaboration with Katuri hospital. 302 residents came for the health check-up.

4. NTR Trust in collaboration with Shri Ayyanna Patrudu-Hon’ble Minister for Roads & Buildings Department, Andhra Pradesh organized a Voluntary Blood Donation camp at Narsipatnam, Visakhapatnam. This camp was organized on the occasion of – Shri Ayyanna Patrudu garu Birthday. 161 donors voluntarily came forward to donate blood.

5. NTR Trust signed a MoU with Olive Hospital to create a Blood Storage Centre (BSC). This will be the First BSC to be set up by a NGO in Hyderabad. This is one more step towards achieving our Mission of providing access to safe blood to anyone in need within 50 kilometres in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. 6. Blood Donation camp was organized by NTR Trust in collaboration with J P Morgan Chase, Hyderabad. 409

donors voluntarily came forward to donate blood.

7. A Blood Donation camp was organized by NTR Trust in collaboration with INS DEGA- Indian Navy- Visakhapatnam. 153 donors voluntarily came forward to donate blood.

8. A free health check-up camp at Komaravolu, Jagayapeta constituency, Krishna District was organized by NTR

Trust in collaboration with Indo British Hospital & AP Super speciality Dental Hospital. 287 residents came for the health check-up.

9. During Sep and Oct 2018, NTR Trust organized free Medical Camps across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, wherein people were given free health checkup. These Healthcare camps aim at promoting health-seeking behaviour in the long term and these camps majorly work on building awareness regarding common ailments, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation. These camps provide comprehensive health services free of cost.

10. During Sep and Oct 2018, NTR Trust Blood Banks have organized numerous Volunteer Blood Donation Camps across the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

EDUCATION

Key Activities:

1. Students of NTR Model School, Challapalli participated in the District level Taekwondo Championship held at Gudivada (Krishna District). T.Himashu (IX Class) of NTR Model School – Challapalli Won Gold medal in under 17 category. This Championship witnessed participation from over 20 Schools. NTR Model School Challapalli, Principal Mrs. Sitanjali congratulated the winner and Coaches - Sri D. Krishna Chaitanya & Sri. K. Suresh.

2. Teachers day was celebrated in NTR Educational Institutions on 5th September to pay honour to Teachers.

3. Bathukamma was celebrated at NTR Model Schools. It is a festival of feminine felicitation. On this occasion, Teachers and students played Bathukamma. Students were also told about the significance of various flowers.

Empowerment & Livelihoods

Key Activities:

1. Smt. G. Leelavathi - Chairman of Siva Shakthi Leela Anjan Foundation, distributed Course completion certificate to students at NTR Trust Skill Development Centre, Vinukonda. She addressed the candidates on the importance of the training which will help them to develop individually.

2. NTR Trust organized a Job Drive at NTR Trust Skill Development Centre (SDC), Hyderabad. Over 70+ youngsters participated in the event which saw 3 companies coming to recruit potential candidates. The renowned companies who participated are HDFC Bank, Flipkart, Max life Insurance, Kudos to the companies who sought to tap the immense potential of rural youth. 30 students got selected.

Disaster Response & Relief

1. Smt. Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of NTR Trust along with CEO Mr. T.Vishnu Vardhan flagged off the transport vehicle containing life-saving Medicines and 50,000 Note Books to help Rebuild Kerala. We collaborated with Kerala Medical Services Corporation Limited (KMSCL) & ensured that 16 lakhs worth of Medicines reached the needy. We worked with GTech and volunteers & distributed 50,000 Note Books to 10,000 deserving kids in Govt Schools of Kerala.

2. We thank Mrs.N. Vijaya Sree, Advocate, High Court of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad for donating 61

cotton sarees through NTR Trust. This is done to support people affected by Titli Cyclone in Uddanam area of Srikakulam district.

3. We thank Mr .R. Chalapathi Rao, National President Elect, National Real Estate Development Council, New Delhi, for donating 100 Bed Sheets through NTR Trust. This is done to support people affected by Titli Cyclone in Uddanam area of Srikakulam district.

1. NTR Trust is glad to be associated with the #FacebookBloodDonation feature, which we believe is a game changer in the way Blood Donation is going to be sourced. In this regard, a training session was conducted by Mr. Umesh K from Facebook Team to our Vizag & Guntur - Blood Bank staff.

2. Book lovers in the temple town were in for a treat as NTR Trust, in collaboration with Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS) and the Department of Language and Culture, organised the ‘Navyandhra Pustaka Sambaralu’ at Tirupati. A large number of visitors from various walks of life, including teachers, lovers of literature and students of engineering and medical streams thronged the fair.
