We are happy to share with you the NTR Trust e-News Bulletin for the months of May and June 2016. We will

be happy to have your feedback.

HIGHLIGHTS

1. On the occasion of Mahanadu 2016, NTR Trust has conducted a Voluntary Blood Donation camp,

Emergency and First Aid Centre, Showcased a unique NTR Sujala Cluster Model. A great add-on to this

Mahanadu 2016 is setting up an NTR Museum in memory of Legend NTR.

2. NTR Trust collaborated with the Cultural and Literary Organizations of Krishna district and organized a

one-day long symposium “Telugu Bhasha Samskruthika Sammelanam”. The discussion held on the

growth of Telugu language and Culture in Telugu speaking states.

3. NTR Trust organized an event on the occasion of “World Blood Donor Day - 2016” to felicitate the

volunteer donors and camp organizers. Mr.Nara Rohith graced the event as chief guest.

EDUCATION

Key Activities:

1. On the occasion of International Yoga Day 21 June

2016 NTR College students actively participated in

Yoga Camp held at Gandhipet Campus .

2. Mr. Ciaran Lally, President Asia Pacific (Dyned

International Inc) visited NTR Model School and

interacted with students and faculty. He appreciated

the students English Language Skills when they

greeted him and introduced themselves. Mr. Ciaran

has interacted with students in different classes and enquired the teachers about study methods

followed. Mr. Y. Mohan Rao, COO-Education explained various initiatives taken by NTR Trust in the

Education field.

HEALTH Key Activities:

1. NTR Trust has set up a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp,

Emergency & First Aid Centre, Showcased a unique NTR Sujala Cluster Model, showcased the work

under Smart AP Programme, Empowerment & Livelihood work at Mahanadu 2016. In addition to this

NTR Trust has set up NTR Museum in memory of Legend NTR. We had 854 no.of volunteer donors

who came forward and donated blood and supported this noble cause. We have also provided free

medical screening and medicines to more than 3000 people, given orientation on Smart AP

Programme to 300 people, about 700 youngsters were oriented about Skill Development & UBER

Activities.

2. As part of NTR Sujala Programme , NTR Trust has set up a safe

drinking water unit in Keenatampalli - a remote village on the

borders of Andhra Pradesh & Tamilnadu in Chittoor District. NTR

Trust provides safe drinking water to 68 villages/wards through

our Sujala Water plants.

3. Dr.Rajiv Nikte & Dr.Girish Chowdhary visited NTR Trust Blood

Bank, Hyderabad as a part of Surveillance Audit from NABH. NTR

Trust Blood Bank is the First NGO run Blood Bank in the country

to get NABH Accreditation and we are also the first Blood Bank

in south India to get NABH Accreditation.

4. On the occasion of “ World Blood Donors Day - 2016” NTR Trust organized an event to felicitate the

volunteer donors and camp organizers . Mr. Nara Rohith, graced the event as the chief guest. Mr.

T.Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust gave an update on the achievements of NTR Trust Blood Banks

and shared the key plans and informed about the launch of the proposed “ Blood Shield” programme

whereby NTR Trust Blood Banks will serve about 100 poor Thalassemic children by providing free

blood and medicines.

5. NTR Trust in collaboration with Apollo Sugar conducted a free Diabetic Camp for the staff at NTR Trust

Office. All the members of Apollo Sugar were professional and compassionate.

6. During May and June 2016, various organizations and individuals have come forward to voluntarily

donate blood. We salute their amazing spirit and thank the institutions, employees, and well-wishers

7. for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of voluntary blood donation. The

venues of the blood donation camps were - Raheja IT Park, Open Text, Oracle, Mahanadu, Genpact -

Hyderabad. Generation Yuva (charitable organization) , Divis Laboratories, Chitralaya Mall, CMR

Central , Ashok Jayabheri Automobiles, DWMA ( District Water Management Authority) -

Visakhapatnam.

8. During May and June 2016, NTR Trust organized free Medical Camps across Andhra Pradesh and

Telangana, wherein people were given free treatment and medicines. Most of the beneficiaries were

from Munagapaka, Paipalyam, Kuppam.

EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOODS

Key Activities:

1. NTR Trust Skill Development Centre held a graduation ceremony on 15 June, 2016 . Mr. Achyuta Rao,

Member of Child Rights Commission & Founder President of Balala Hakula Sangam presented

students with certificates for successfully completing their four weeks training.

2. As part of Smart AP Programme, NTR Trust conducted GIS survey for 42 Gram Panchayaths of 98

hamlets in the state of Andhra Pradesh .

3. On the occasion of International Day of Yoga on 21 June, 2016 NTR Trust in association with

Synchroserve organized a Yoga Camp at SDC campus, NTR Trust Hyderabad. The yoga camp was

conducted by eminent yoga experts Mr. Sudhakar & Ms. Srilatha from Divine Yoga Centre,

Manikonda.

4. We were glad to welcome Leonard Cheshire Disability International (LCD), South Asia Regional Office

Team at NTR Trust. LCD Director, Ms. Revathi and her team shared their work in the disability sector

and expressed interest to collaboratively plan initiatives. NTR Trust committed to doing a pilot project

with LCD to skill and employ 100 people with disabilities in the states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

in a time bound manner and based on the learning look at possible scale-up of activities.

5. NTR Trust Skill Development Centre organized a graduation ceremony for the candidates who have

successfully completed their four weeks free training. Mr. Kaushik Kumar, Senior accounts manager of

Roche Laboratories Limited.

NTR Trust collaborated with Cultural and Literary Organizations of Krishna district in organizing a day- long

symposium “Telugu Bhasha Samskruthika Sammelanam”. The day-long symposium discussed the immediate

action plans for the growth of Telugu language and culture in the new Telugu states and the role of

Government. We were fortunate to do this symposium commemorating the 60th birthday of Sri Mandali
