Page 2: NOTE February/March 2012

The Tiany family design legacy is celebrated in this

unique mix of exhibitions featuring Louis Comfort

Tiany’s stained glass of the Art Nouveau era and a

rare collection of Tiany & Co.’s decorative firearms.

Charles Lewis Tiany established Tiany & Co. in

1837; his son Louis Comfort Tiany later founded

Tiany Studios, renowned for its exquisite

decorative objects. bit.ly/tianyera

Out of the Forest: Art Nouveau Lamps includes twenty exquisite lamps by

Tiany Studios and other lamp manufacturers of the Art Nouveau era, all from

the private collection of Byron Vreeland.

magnificent stained glass church windows by Tiany Studios recently

salvaged after years in storage.
