Mark your calendar for our annual:

6:00-7:30 p.m. The Spring Festival is to showcase our students’

projects. In addition to the project exhibits, various

organizations will be here with interesting things to see

and do! This year’s theme is “First Responders” and

some of our local folks will be here with some of the

equipment they use! Bring your own supper or stop in at

the Cougar Café for nachos and make

an evening of it! If you are new to

Hart-Ransom Charter or have any

questions, please contact your AT.

A variety of student opportunities come to the school during the year. They are placed in a clear sleeve and hung on the ―push pins‖ on the board in the Ed Center. You can remove to read or make a copy (Leave in the sleeve to copy). Then just hang it back up for the next person to read. New items are added as they arrive—past deadline ones removed. Check it out often.

HS February AWRs Due

Wednesday, February 11 YOUR HIGH SCHOOL

ADVISORY TEACHER NEEDS

YOUR HELP! When turning in your Assignment/Work

Record (AWR), please remember to:

Turn AWR in on/before the due date.

Initial that each day's work has been

completed.

Print out and sign Progress Report and

staple it to the AWR.

Include signed and completed logs (if

applicable) meeting the minimum number

of minutes.

Because your Advisory Teacher has attend-

ance deadlines to meet, late or incomplete

paperwork could negatively affect your

child’s attendance record.

Writing Corner

A group of AT’s are working hard to update our

online writing prompts to meet the Common

Core writing standards. We are still working on the

Explanatory/Informative prompts and plan to have them

done and posted for the next AWR. For the upcoming

AWR period you could:

Jump ahead a month and pick something from the

review packets to work on;

Use any of the many prompts available to you in your

core reading, science or social studies curriculum;

Ask your AT for suggestions.

These are all great options!

short puppet shows for COUGAR CLUB and anyone else who would like to come!
