Just a reminder to all St Joseph’s families to please support our local Bakers Delight bakery at every opportunity. They are
located in Glenhuntly Road and if you mention St Joseph’s Primary before your purchase is
rung up, they will donate 5% from each sale and provide the P&F with a cheque at
the end of the year. This certainly ads to the P&F’s fund raising efforts.
Our wonderful, local Bakers Delight has also provided us with bread on many occasions such as Trivia Night, Winter Sleep Out just to name a few.
Please remember to support our local Bakers Delight
BE A LOCAL LEADER
Would you like to be a part of a group of local young people that assists in planning and running local events and advocacy campaigns? Are you looking to increase your skills and leadership capabilities? Do you want to meet new people and have a great time? Each year, young people aged 14 to 21 from Glen Eira come together to be a part of the Youth Leadership Team (YLT). Together, the YLT drives local music and art events; and contributes to the larger Glen Eira community by developing unique advocacy campaigns that highlight important issues. YLT members are encouraged to develop their own leadership skills by providing new opportunities for their peers and assist Glen Eira Youth Services to ensure that the issues important to young people are heard.
Past events developed by the YLT include the Youth Art Expo, Sounds of Glen Eira and Can with a Bigger Plan.
You don’t need any previous experience to be a part of the YLT, just the willingness to give it a go.
