It’s time to save the date and almost time to reserve your site for the End of the School Year Camping Trip! Another fun and fabulous tradition we have at Monarch is a whole school, local camping weekend to help close out the school year. We keep it close to home so families can come for the whole weekend, one night, or even just for a day of fun. And what makes it extra special is most years we get a teacher or two to join us!! So here is the scoop: May 18-20th Sunset State Beach Campground Online reservations at: https://www.reservecalifornia.com/ Let’s try to get campsites in the South Camp area of the campground. Reservations open 6 months in advance, and they get reserved fast. That means we wake up the morning of 11/18 and grab a campsite. Even if you are not 100% sure you can go, I recommend getting a site anyways. There are almost always families looking for a site, and as the date comes closer you can decide to share your campsite or simply transfer it to someone else. I will send out a reminder email on the 17th. Until then, save the weekend on your schedule and make plans with a friend to share a campsite. :-) Thanks! End of the School Year Camping Trip! It’s time to save the date and almost time to reserve your site for the End of the School Year Camping Trip! Attention Classroom Volunteers MCB and staff would like to remind volunteers to please arrive early or at the start of their shift times. This affords teachers the time needed to orient you to what may be needed and helpful for that day. When teachers are in the midst of transitioning students it can be difficult to give the volunteer the time and attention to check in at that time. Also, remember that your presence alone is helpful. Please jump in and take a seat near the kids in the circle, or join a group in an activity they are working to complete. That extra pair of hands, eyes, and ears is invaluable! If there seems to be ample help in that classroom, wander down the hall and get to know the kids in another room where your help is much needed at that moment. Thank you to all for everything you bring and contribute to our community.

Downtown Holiday Parade Monarch school will once again participate in the Downtown Holiday Parade on December 2nd on Pacific Avenue. Kids will wear provided Monarch butterfly wings. Adults will walk in the parade with their kids, so wear your orange and black (and your Monarch hats too)! Kids can help paint the butterfly wings right after school outside on Wednesday, November 29th.

We will meet at Pacific Ave and Spruce Street (near the Warriors Stadium) at 9:30am. The parade starts at 10am…rain or shine! It is a fun community event and an excellent way for Monarch to get free publicity for our school. Ask Janelle ([email protected] or 831.334.7787) if you have any questions. We will see you there!

CLASS UPDATES TIERRA & EARTH TRANSMISSIONS We are so glad you signed up for conferences. Please remember to bring the interview that was in your box last week. Also, if you have not returned it already please bring back your signed Bill of Rights form. Earth and Tierra kids (along with the rest of the school) are going to participating in a big all school market at the end of the trimester. We will be sending out more information soon as to materials and help needed to make this fabulous! Kindergarteners will be performing a play and making (and selling) soup as a class. First graders will have small group businesses.

¡Campamento de fin del año escolar!
¡Es hora de guardar la fecha y casi la hora de reservar su sitio para el Campamento de fin de curso escolar! Otra tradición divertida y fabulosa que tenemos en Monarch es una escuela entera, fin de semana de campamento local para ayudar a cerrar el año escolar. Lo mantenemos cerca de casa para que las familias puedan venir durante todo el fin de semana, una noche o incluso sólo por un día de diversión. ¡Y lo que lo hace muy especial es la mayoría de los años que tenemos un maestro o dos para unirse! Así que aquí está la primicia:

Tratemos de acampar en el área del Campamento Sur. Las reservas abren con 6 meses de anticipación y se reservan rápidamente. Eso significa que nos levantamos la mañana del 11/18 y tomamos un campamento. Incluso si no está 100% seguro de que puede ir, le recomiendo obtener un sitio de todos modos. Casi siempre hay familias que buscan un sitio y, a medida que se acerca la fecha, puedes decidir compartir tu sitio para acampar o simplemente transferirlo a otra persona. Enviaré un recordatorio por correo electrónico el día 17. Hasta entonces, guarde el fin de semana en su agenda y haga planes con un amigo para compartir un campamento. :-) ¡Gracias!

Atención voluntarios del salón MCB y el personal desean recordar a los voluntarios que lleguen temprano o al comienzo de su turno. Esto brinda a los maestros el tiempo necesario para orientarlo sobre lo que puede ser necesario y útil para ese día. Cuando los maestros se encuentran en medio de estudiantes en transición, puede ser difícil darle tiempo y atención al voluntario para que se registre en ese momento. Además, recuerde que su sola presencia es útil. Por favor, salte y tome asiento cerca de los niños en el círculo, o únase a un grupo en una actividad que están trabajando para completar. ¡Ese par adicional de manos, ojos y oidos es invaluable! Si parece que hay mucha ayuda en esa clase, pasee por el pasillo y conozca a los niños en otra habitación de donde usted ayuda es muy necesaria en ese momento. Desfile de invierno en el centro La escuela Monarch participará una vez más en el Downtown Holiday Parade el 2 de diciembre en la avenida Pacific. Los niños de Monarch usarán alas de mariposa. Los adultos caminarán en el desfile con sus hijos, ¡así que póngase su naranja y negro (y sus sombreros Monarch también)! Los niños pueden ayudar a pintar las alas de mariposa afuera justo después de la escuela el miércoles, 29 de noviembre.

Nos reuniremos en la avenida Pacific y la calle Spruce (cerca del Estadio de los Warriors) a las 9:30 a.m. El desfile comienza a las 10 a.m. ¡Llueva o brille! Es una diversion evento comunitario y una excelente manera para que Monarch obtenga publicidad gratis para nuestra escuela. ACTUALIZACIONES DE CLASE
TRANSMISIONES DE TIERRA Y EARTH Estamos muy contentos de que se hayan registrado para las conferencias. Recuerde traer la entrevista que estaba en su caja la semana pasada. Además, si aún no lo ha devuelto, devuelva su formulario de Declaración de derechos firmado. Los niños de Tierra y Earth (junto con el resto de la escuela) van a participar en un gran mercado de todas las escuelas al final del trimestre. ¡Pronto enviaremos más información sobre los materiales y la ayuda necesaria para que esto sea fabuloso! Los niños de kínder realizarán una obra de teatro y preparará (y venderán) sopa como clase. Los estudiantes de primer grado tendrán negocios de grupos pequeños.

CORRIENTES DE OCÉANO Y MAR ¡No hay escuela la próxima semana! Tendremos conferencias el lunes 20 de noviembre y el martes 21 de noviembre. Los estudiantes NO asistirán a esta conferencia.
