About Me

I am currently studying at Humber College for public relations. I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Management. I then worked as an account executive at Inquiry Management Systems. I am a dedicated and a hard-worker. I am excited and passionate about working as a public relations practitioner.

PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSISStrengths

• Bachelor of Management from Dalhousie University, public relations post-graduate certificate from Humber College• I am creative, energetic, generous and patient• An avid learner• Good written and oral communications skills• Work very well in teams

Weaknesses• It is difficult for me to say “no,” which sometimes I have too much on my plate at once• Finding the balance between being brutally honest and knowing when to restrain giving my full opinion

Opportunities• Social media knowledge gives me a competitive edge• My experience as an account executive provided me with strong client relation skills• I work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; I can keep pace with the fashion PR industry• Apply my passion and innovation for cooking and photography gives me a unique spin on fashion

Threats• Fashion is a competitive field, especially for my age and gender• Weak economy has lowered job opportunities• I lack direct experience in the field of fashion

Key Messages

My experience and education will provide me with the skill set necessary to

become successful in the fashion public relations industry. I will use my social

media applications as a networking tool to develop my online presence. I hope

to develop my knowledge and experience in the fashion industry, as it

is my passion.
