Q. What makes these boots so great?A. It’s all in the design. All MUCK BOOTS™

are 100% waterproof keeping feet warm, dry and protected in harsh weather and messy working conditions. The secret – our exclusive, self-insulating, waterproof CR-foam shell construction. The CR-foam bootie material acts as a “neutral medium” between inside and outside temperatures. Naturally lightweight, and very comfortable, the material keeps the foot and lower leg warm and protected in cold and wet conditions.

Natural rubber overlays act as a protective skin for the upper bootie. The upper has a triple-reinforced toe area and quadruple-reinforced heel area. The outsole is made of high abrasion natural rubber. The rubber in the boots will stay flexible for years.

Q. How are the boots sized? A. Standard U.S. sizes for men and women (unisex

sizing). Boots and shoes are available in whole sizes only, but will stretch to fit half sizes. There is a 15mm toe allowance built into the sizing.

Q. Do the boots fit wide widths?A. Yes. Our boots are made to standard widths, but

the materials will stretch to fit widths up to a EEEE. For narrow feet, we suggest wearing a thicker sock or putting in an additional sock liner to take up room.

Q. Are the collar and calf stiff?A. No. The upper calf and topline areas are made of

soft, flexible CR-foam and will stretch. With the flexible upper, the pant leg can be worn over or inside the boot. The collar material can be turned down to allow hands-free removal and vent humidity in warmer working conditions.

Q. Should people wear thick socks?A. It isn’t necessary unless activities are planned for

extreme, cold conditions. The CR-foam bootie material is rated sub-zero during active use and will effectively withstand freezing temperatures for up to one hour. Medium-weight athletic socks should provide the best fit. The upper will stretch to accommodate thicker socks.

Q. How does CR-foam compare or rate against other lofted insulations and waterproof membranes?

A. Lofted insulations are typically used in work boots and hiking shoes to resist cold temperatures. They are typically laminated to the whole shoe lining or glued into the toe area of a shoe or boot. It is not a waterproof material.

The CR-foam used in MUCK BOOTS™ is both waterproof and self insulating. Our materials exceed the long-term effectiveness of waterproof membrane materials and provide greater insulating properties than all non-specialty temperature-control substrates.

Q. Do these boots allow your feet to breathe?

A. One of the most important and revolutionary features of MUCK BOOTS™ footwear is the structured, Breathable Airmesh lining used in all our products. Airmesh is made up of thousands of tiny vertical fibers that allow air to circulate throughout the interior lining surfaces. Excess humidity and perspiration that might build up in the boot are quickly wicked away. This creates a comfortable environment for your feet that lasts for extended periods of use.

Q. How do you care for and clean these products?A. The rubber shell and nylon upper are very durable

and clean up easily with a spray of water or gentle scrubbing with soap and water. The rubber upper can be conditioned with wax polish, Armor All® or liquid detergent. It is not recommended to use conditioners on the outsole area. This may cause it to become slick in wet or icy conditions.

Q. Can the rubber be repaired if punctured?A. Yes. The natural rubber can be repaired

with sealant found in local hardware stores. We recommend Aquaseal® brand marine sealant. First, clean the punctured area thoroughly with mineral spirits. Then, apply the sealant over affected area and wipe to a thin film. The sealant should air dry for at least 24 hours.

The Brit Colt has been extensively tested by Dawn Secotine-Hansen, a titled equestrian, ranch owner and trainer who also works with the physically disabled as well as celebrities.

The Brit Colt was machine-tested for range of motion.The findings show the low-ankle rubber overlay allows for excellent range of motion meaning less fatigue for the wearer. There is less stress on the thighs while riding and the boot wears like an athletic shoe while walking, making it easier to maneuver around the horse.

The low-ankle design also makes it easier to ‘ankle down’ while riding and provides closer contact to feel the horse’s movement.

The outsole is designed to fit into stirrups and hold the foot in place.

this product was tested by personnel from clyde Peeling’s Reptiland using widely accepted test methodology. the product was filled with inflated latex balloons that fit directly into the interior of the boot surfaces. A 5’ Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake was allowed to strike various portions of the boot. there were seven solid strikes to the toe and six solid strikes to the side. In no event did the snakebite penetrate and break the balloon when the boot was struck up to the top of the rubber overlay. A second 5’ Eastern Diamondback was restrained by a handler and the fangs were worked by hand pressure against the boot’s surface at an angle to achieve greatest penetration. there was no noticeable penetration to any areas of the camouflage-patterned portion of the boot.

The Wellie Classic is engineered for comfort

and performance. It maintains The Original

Muck Boot Company™ standards for

comfort. Many unique, innovative features

are built in, including Breathable Airmesh

Ultra lining, a waterproof/breathable

Hydroguard™ membrane, 100% waterproof

leathers, EVA cushion midsoles and a

contour-molded polyurethane footbed

that anatomically fits the shape of the

bottom of the foot.

• To ensure the best fit, you should select

the size which gives you about 1/2" of

clearance at the toe from the end of the

boot. The fit across the ball of the foot

should be snug, but not tight. For best

results, try on boots at the end of the day

when your feet are at their largest. Wearing

the type of socks you will wear with the

boots will also help you make the best

fit selection.

• Breathable Airmesh Ultra lining works

in tandem with a waterproof/breathable

Hydroguard™ membrane providing two

layers of moisture management. The

unique lining package allows the air to

circulate throughout the internal lining

surfaces and keeps feet dry and

comfortable. The waterproof/breathable

Hydroguard™ ensures that exterior moisture

stays out of the boot and keeps the foot

comfortable and dry.

• Hydroguard™ is a waterproof breathable

inner membrane that repels moisture

creating a more comfortable environment

for the foot.

• Gel-Core™ is a polymer-based sub-sole grid

that is built into the footbed. It increases

all-day comfort when used with the

removable polyurethane insole.

• Cleaning and caring for the Wellie

Classic is easy. Scrape off any excess or

caked-on mud. Then using a soft cloth,

brush off any additional superficial dirt.

Follow with a soft brush scrubbing the

boots to remove any ground-in dirt. Rinse

with water to release any fine particles.

Air dry your boots at room temperature.

Caution: Drying boots next to a heat

source such as a stove or campfire may

cause damage to the leather.

Using a wax or silicon-based conditioner

will help ensure the peak performance of

your waterproof leather footwear.

• We use full grain leather to produce the

highest quality product. This leather is not

split or reduced in weight, so it gives peak

performance. Full grain leather has the

top grain intact and has not been

corrected by embossing or printing.
