What is cloud computing? Everyone in the technology world is talking about it… and a lot of people in the business world are asking the same question, “What is cloud computing, and what does it mean for my business?” Cloud computing platforms are growing in popularity, but why? What unique advantages does a cloud computing architecture offer to companies in today’s economic climate? And what just what is cloud computing, anyway?” Let’s explore the cloud computing infrastructure and its impact on critically important areas to IT, like security, infrastructure investments, business application development, and more. Most IT departments are forced to spend a significant portion of their time on frustrating implementation, maintenance, and upgrade projects that too often don’t add significant value to the company’s bottom line. Increasingly, IT teams are turning to cloud computing technology to minimize the time spent on lower-value activities and allow IT to focus on strategic activities with greater impact on the business. The fundamental cloud computing infrastructure has won over the CIOs of some of the world’s largest organizations—these once-skeptical executives never looked back after experiencing first-hand the host of benefits delivered by cloud computing technology.

Proven Web-services integration. By their very nature, cloud computing technology is much easier and quicker to integrate with your other enterprise applications (both traditional software and cloud computing infrastructure-based), whether third-party or homegrown. World-class service delivery. Cloud computing infrastructures offer much greater scalability, complete disaster recovery, and impressive uptime numbers.

No hardware or software to install: a 100% cloud computing infrastructure. The beauty of cloud computing technology is its simplicity… and in the fact that it requires significantly fewer capital expenditures to get up and running.

Faster and lower-risk deployment. You can get up and running in a fraction of the time with a cloud computing infrastructure. No more waiting months or years and spending millions of dollars before anyone gets to log into your new solution. Your cloud computing technology applications are live in a matter of weeks or months, even with extensive customization or integration.

Support for deep customizations. Some IT professionals mistakenly think that cloud computing technology is difficult

or impossible to customize extensively, and therefore is not a good choice for complex enterprises. The cloud computing infrastructure not only allows deep customization and

application configuration, it preserves all those customizations even during upgrades. And even better, cloud computing technology is ideal for application development to support your organization’s evolving needs. Empowered business users. Cloud computing technology allows on-the-fly, point-and-click customization and report generation for business users, so IT doesn’t spend half its time making minor changes and running reports. Automatic upgrades that don’t impact IT resources. Cloud computing

infrastructures put an end to a huge IT dilemma: If we upgrade to the latest-and-greatest version of the application, we’ll be forced to spend time and resources (that we don’t have) to rebuild our customizations and integrations. Cloud computing technology doesn’t force you to decide between upgrading and preserving all your hard work, because those customizations and integrations are automatically preserved during an upgrade. Pre-built, pre-integrated apps for cloud computing technology. The Force.com AppExchange features hundreds of applications built for cloud computing infrastructure, pre-integrated with your Salesforce CRM application or your other application development work on Force.com.

A Cloud Computing Infrastructure: What’s the Value?

Page 6: MKCL Arabia Newsletter March 2013 Issue

6 | P a g e

Cloud computing infrastructures and salesforce.com’s Force.com platform have won over the CIOs of some of the world’s largest organizations. These forward-thinking (yet extremely security-conscious) tech executives fully vetted Force.com and realized the value cloud computing technology offers. Salesforce.com frees companies from traditional software and its hidden costs, high failure rates, unacceptable risks, and protracted implementations. All while providing a comprehensive, flexible platform that meets the needs of businesses of every size, from the world's largest enterprises to small and mid-sized companies everywhere. The areas in which cloud computing saves administrative costs include: Basic customization. The Force.com cloud computing technology’s point-and-click tools empower administrators and business users to perform basic customizations themselves.

Real-time reporting. Easy wizards step users through report and dashboard creation, so IT’s queue is free of report requests. Security and sharing models. The sharing model built into the Force.com cloud computing infrastructure protects sensitive data while making the management of security profiles much less time-consuming.

Multiple languages and currencies. Included support for 13 languages and all currencies make managing a global application easier. Cloud Computing Technology & Application Development Cloud computing technology is sparking a huge change in application development circles. Just like the changes that moved publishing technology from paper to bits, making it possible for us to have information about anything in the world right at our fingertips in a flash, the move to a cloud

computing infrastructure for application development is making it possible to build robust, enterprise-class applications in a fraction of the time and at a much lower cost. Cloud computing technology boasts all the benefits of multitenancy, including built-in security, reliability, upgradeability, and ease of use. Out-of-the-box features such as analytics, offline access, and mobile deployment speed application development.

There’s no need to worry about managing and maintaining any server infrastructure, even as applications scale to thousands of users.

You can join a community of thousands of developers also focused on business application development for cloud computing infrastructures.

The Force.com AppExchange marketplace provides an outlet for all your business application development and access to tens of thousands of salesforce.com customers. By eliminating the problems of traditional application development, cloud computing technology frees you to focus on developing business applications that deliver true value to your business (or your customers). The Force.com platform lets IT innovate while avoiding the costs and headaches associated with servers, individual software solutions, middleware or point-to-point connections, upgrades—and the staff needed to manage it all.

Did your PC get stuck with a blue screen and didn't leave any info how to resolve it? Then your computer is prone to Blue Screen of Death (also known as BSOD or Blue Screen).Which is also known as Stop Error.

What is Blue screen of death (BSOD) or Blue

screen error?

Blue Screen of Death is nothing but a Blue

error screen which is shown in the Microsoft

windows Operating systems normally which stops

the further operations. This happens normally

when a fatal error occurs. This may take place

due to different reasons and even the actions

of BSOD will be different, like sometimes it

may ask us “continue by pressing any key” or

What is A Blue Screen Error-How To Fix It In Windows?

Page 7: MKCL Arabia Newsletter March 2013 Issue

asks to restart or sometimes system may just

hang with blue screen. This most irritating

problem that is seen in all version of windows.

Even Owner of Microsoft Bill gates can’t

escape from Blue screen of death (BSOD):

On 1998 when Bill Gates with his assistant was

demonstrating Windows 98 through a presentation

and in sudden Blue error screen appeared

....!!! With that everyone at the presentation

laughed and applauded.

After that Bill gates responded with this funny

answer

“That must be why we’re not shipping Windows

98 yet”.

Why Blue Screen of Death Error is caused?

Stop errors are generally hardware or driver

related errors, causing the computer to stop

responding in order to prevent damage to the

hardware or data. In the later versions of

Windows (Windows NT and later) the screen

presents information for diagnostic purposes

that was collected as the operating system

performed a bug check.

How to fix the Blue screen of Death:

As there are many reasons for this to occur,

sadly there is no particular solution for this.

But by following the Tips and Tricks given

below you can keep get rid of it mostly.

1. Remove all the programs that starts while

you system boots

When your Windows OS loads many of the

applications will try to load at the same time,

which may lead to BSOD. You need to remove the

programs from starting automatically when your

system boots. To do this

Press Windows Key + R

Run Box will appear; in the input box type

“msconfig” (without quotes) and hit enter.

Click start up and remove all the unwanted

programs from there and Apply the settings

It will ask you to restart the system, restart

the system and you are done..!

In most of the cases this will Fix your

problem, If not check the below things too.

2. Finding and uninstalling the software’s:

In Few other cases when you are trying to

install a software, this blue screen error may

occur which clearly says that, the software

that you are installing is culprit there and

responsible for that. Once verify all the

changes that you made to your system and reset

them. Uninstall the recent installed

applications and this will help you to great

extent.

3. Re-setting your hardware’s and drivers:

In some cases due to faulty hardware connection

it may show the blue error screen. We can

prevent this by ensuring that all hardware

connections such as external ports, motherboard

pins are set correctly. Even due to bad drivers

this may happen. By updating the drivers you

can avoid this. By following the above things

you can mostly fix the blue screen of death.

Windows 8 is with new kind of Blue screen:

Till now in all versions of windows the Error

screen in same color but in the windows 8 this

is different. It will tell you about the error

with sad emoticon at the top of text and even

the color of that blue screen is different

it’s something like light blue.

Seven Amazing Facts of

HUMAN Body!

These seven strange but true body facts are highlighted. and they’re too

fascinating to ignore:

A Crease in Your Earlobe May Predict Heart Disease: A diagonal crease

in your earlobe is linked to a much higher risk of coronary artery disease

and sudden cardiac death in men.1

Yawning Helps Cool Your Brain: Yawning is an involuntary behavior that

may perform the important function of cooling your brain. When you

yawn, the influx of cool air may ventilate your sinuses and facilitate

brain cooling.

Your Largest Organ is Only One Cell Thick: It’s your endothelium, the

interior lining of your body’s 60,000-miles (plus) of blood vessels. If

stretched out, your endothelium, which helps regulate blood pressure,

control blood clotting and fight disease, would cover six tennis courts.

Some People Taste Words: Your senses of taste, sound and sight are

typically separate experiences, but in people with a condition called

synesthesia, the senses overlap. These people may be able to “hear”

colors and “taste” words as an ordinary part of life.

You Can Smell Fear: Bodily sweat contains different pheromones when

you’re frightened or not. People can detect the differences in their

smell, and when they sniffed sweat from skydivers, it caused brain

regions that react to fear to become active (which did not occur from

sweat from treadmill users).

Women’s Tears Prompt Physical Changes in Men: When men sniffed

women’s tears brought on by negative emotions.

You Close Your Eyes When You Sneeze: This is caused by a reflex similar

to what occurs when your knee is tapped with a rubber mallet. It’s

extremely difficult to keep your eyes open while you sneeze, even if you

try.

يتون ين والز .Watteeni wazzaytoon -- WE swear by the fig and the olive والت

originated in Arabia and grow best in areas with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Although considered a

fruit, the fig is actually an inverted flower, and the seeds are the fruit, according to the California Fig Advisory Board.

Flower or fruit, the nutrient-rich dried fig can help you meet some of your essential nutrient needs, making it a healthy

addition to your diet.

1) Lower cholesterol: Figs contain Pectin, a soluble

fiber. When fiber goes through the digestive

system, it mops up globes of cholesterol and

carries them out of the body.

2) Prevent coronary heart disease:

Dried figs contain phenol, Omega-3

and Omega-6. These fatty acids

reduce the risk of coronary heart

disease.

3) Prevent colon cancer: The presence

of fiber helps to mop up and usher

out cancer causing substances.

4) Protection against post-menopausal

breast cancer: Fiber content in figs give

protection against breast cancer.

5) Good for diabetic patients: The American

Diabetes Association recommends figs for a high

fiber treat. Fig leaves reduce the amount of

insulin needed by diabetic patients who have to

take insulin injection. Fig is rich in Potassium.

Potassium helps to control blood sugar. Fig

leaves have anti-diabetic properties

6) Prevention of hypertension: People used to take

more sodium in the form of salt. Low potassium

and high sodium level may lead to hypertension.

Figs are high in potassium but low in sodium. So,

it helps to avoid hypertension.

7) Sexual weakness: Figs are known

since ages for reducing sexual weakness.

Soak 2-3 figs in milk overnight and eat them

in the morning to enhance your sexual

power. It also helps in gaining weight.

8) Strengthens bones: Figs are rich in

Calcium. Calcium helps to strengthen bones.

9) Urinary calcium loss: People having

high salt diet may be affected by increased

urinary calcium loss. Potassium content in figs

helps to avoid that.

10) Prevent macular degeneration: Vision loss in

older people is due to macular degeneration.

Fruits and figs generally are good for avoiding

this condition.

11) Relief for throat: The high mucilage content in

figs, helps to heal and protect sore throats

1) Make your arteries more elastic – Two

tablespoons daily makes you more resistant to

strokes and heart attack.

2) Reduce bad cholesterol levels. – Olive oil

contains polyphenols, which help to keep your

levels of LDL cholesterol within healthy ranges.

Page 11: MKCL Arabia Newsletter March 2013 Issue

11 | P a g e

3) Reduce the risk of stroke in the elderly through

yet another mechanism – Older people who ate

diets rich in olive oil consumption, which

contains plasma oleic acid, had fewer strokes in

a 2011 study.

4) Cure or reduce acne – Although it sounds

counterintuitive to use oil to fight pimples and

blackheads, using an olive oil and salt scrub

helps some types of acne.

5) Treat sunburn – Olive oil

soothes the pain of mild

sunburn by helping skin

retain its moisture. Use

equal parts olive oil and

water in a tight-lidded

container. Shake well, then

apply to mild sunburn.

Shake the mixture often

during application to keep it

from separating.

6) Help fight breast cancer – Olive oil contains

phytochemicals, and a 2008 study found that

they are effecting at killing cancer cells and

suppressing cancer genes.

7) Improve your memory – Some research has

shown that olive oil can prevent and possibly

even reverse the memory loss that accompanies

Alzheimer’s disease.

8) Condition your hair – Ancient beauties and

warriors alike used olive oil to tame and beautify

their locks. Olive oil strengthens hair and makes

it more flexible.

9) Moisturize your skin – Olive oil is closer in

chemical structure to your skin’s natural oil than

any other naturally occurring oil. Use it as you

would a body, face and hand lotion.

10) Prevent your skin from aging prematurely – The

same antioxidant properties that keep your red

blood cells from oxidizing when you eat olive oil

keep your skin cells from oxidizing when you

apply it topically.

11) Act as a perfect medium for cosmetics –

Combined with natural pigments and beeswax,

olive oil makes inexpensive, natural lip-gloss,

blush and even eye shadow.

12) Make a natural vitamin supplement – Two

tablespoons can replace your daily vitamin E

supplement while providing all the other

benefits of olive oil.

13) Possibly protect and lubricate your voice – There

is no scientific evidence yet to back them up, but

singers have been using olive oil as a gargle

before performing for centuries.

14) Help fight off degenerative

diseases – The antioxidants in

olive oil give it the power to

help lessen the impact of

degenerative diseases on

your body.

15) Lower your blood pressure

– Although researchers have some theories as to

why it works, no one is sure why olive oil helps

to lower blood pressure. They just know that it

does.

16) Minimize cellulite – Mix used coffee grounds

with olive oil for a topical cellulite treatment.

Apply it directly to the skin.

17) Condition your hair – Used coffee grounds and

olive oil make a good hair conditioner, as well.

Rub it in well before you shampoo your hair.

18) Make a heart-healthy condiment – Extra virgin

olive oil is delicious drizzled over bread and

many other dishes.

19) Enhance the beauty of black hair – Combine olive

oil with hair care products to make the product

spread more evenly through your hair.

20) Prevent prematurely gray hair – EVOO contains pigments. Using it in your hair will gradually darken it.

21) Aid digestion – People have taken olive oil as a digestive aid for generations.
