1840 by Captain Constable on behalf of the Geological
Survey of India.

Agreement with Eastern
and General Syndicate.
This concession contract
marks the beginning of a

Holmes transferred the interest to Gulf Oil
Corporation in 1927.
Gulf Oil sold its interest to the Standard Oil of
California (Socal) in 1928.
This led to the formation of the Bahrain Oil
