Installation of new MH-MA campus lighting will begin this summer with two demonstration Stresscrete poles and Luminares near the Administration Building. Ultimately, a total of 29 poles will light the entire driveway from Green Street to the Administration Building and back to Green Street, the dormitory walkways, and west of the Administration Building. Th is lighting project was approved by the MH-MA Board in December as a major fund raising goal for 2009 and 2010. Th e installation of this lighting will improve the safety of the campus, particularly for the boarding students and will continue eff orts to improve the appearance of the grounds. Th e remaining 27 lights will be added as funds become available. Th e cost of the entire lighting project will be approximately $145,000.

Each pole will have banner arms, a fl ag insert, electrical outlet and space for a donor plaque. Th e fi rst of the poles was donated by Royce Fawcett and Stresscrete here in Atchison. A $5,000 pledge or gift will purchase a decorative pole, electricity for lighting and a donor plaque. Th ank you for your help with this necessary capital improvement.
