COVID-19 VACCINE UPDATE
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is currently distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals in Phase 1 and Phase 2 ( individuals 75 + older) For residents of Franklin the closest available site to obtain a COVID-19 vaccina-tion is at Gillette Stadium You can book an appointment online at httpswwwcic-healthcomour-locationslocation=gillette If you do not have access to a computer you can call the Senior Center and staff will try and assist you in making an appointment Please keep in mind that appointments are booking up fast but will increase in the coming weeks as more vaccine supply comes into the Commonwealth In addition The Franklin Health Department is ordering doses of the vac-cine but is limited to ordering 100 doses at a time per DPH regulations Dos-es will be made available to Franklin residents aged 75+ older but there is no timeframe or details available yet If you are interested in receiving the vaccine once available please contact the center at 508-520-4945

If you are a veteran enrolled in the VA Medical System the VA will contact you by phone to set an appointment for the vaccine The VA is currently scheduling appointments for veterans who are 75+ years of age If your appointment is scheduled for the West Roxbury VAMC you cannot go to the Brockton facility You must go to the facility where the appointment was made Veterans who are not currently enrolled in the VA Medical System but have a disability rating can enroll in the system and get a vaccine Veterans who see civilian health care practitioners should contact their PCPs For up-to-date information about vaccines at the VA Medical Centers visit httpwwwvagovhealth-carecovid-19-vaccine

Cyber Seniors Norfolk County RSVP is offering older adults aged 55+ who live in Norfolk County the op-
portunity to get free training from home with ANY computer software program This is a two month training with group and individual sessions using Zoom and Google Meet platforms Instructors will be college stu-dents trained to work with older adults Participants will have access to an ongoing online community for classes and special interest programming Once training is completed we are asking participants to volun-teer for 1-2 hours per week visiting with isolated elders on Zoom Classes begin the last week of February Call Robert at 781-234-3445 for more information

Pharmacy Outreach Program is a free service for the residents of Massachusetts that helps individu-
als with their medication needs Call toll-free at 18666331617 to speak with trained staff who will answer questions advise on assistance programs and plans (such as Medicare Drug Benefit [Part D]) and will work with your practitioner to help you obtain your prescriptions at the lowest possible price Clinical pharmacists will also follow up to make sure you are using the medications safely and correctly

If you are a veteran enrolled in the VA Medical System the VA will contact you by phone to set an appointment for the vaccine The VA is currently scheduling appointments for veterans who are 75+ years of age If your appointment is scheduled for the West Roxbury VAMC you cannot go to the Brockton facility You must go to the facility where the appointment was made Veterans who are not currently enrolled in the VA Medical System but have a disability rating can enroll in the system and get a vaccine Veterans who see civilian health care practitioners should contact their PCPs For up-to-date information about vaccines at the VA Medical Centers visit httpwwwvagovhealth-carecovid-19-vaccine

portunity to get free training from home with ANY computer software program This is a two month training with group and individual sessions using Zoom and Google Meet platforms Instructors will be college stu-dents trained to work with older adults Participants will have access to an ongoing online community for classes and special interest programming Once training is completed we are asking participants to volun-teer for 1-2 hours per week visiting with isolated elders on Zoom Classes begin the last week of February Call Robert at 781-234-3445 for more information
