MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL January 2020, Volume 6

Dear Indian Creek Families, Please be aware that report cards will be posted to Skyward Family Access on January 10th. If you need assistance in accessing your Skyward Family Access Account, please call the front office. Paper copies will be available upon request. January 22nd we will kick off our World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser. We would like to en-courage all of our families to sell at least one box of chocolates. Last year, we raised nearly $9,000 for our students. This year, the money raised will not only help increase our STEM ex-periences, we are also planning to create a Champion Lounge in the Café. This Champion’s Lounge will include games, books, and free building items for students to use during their lunch period.

We also would like to invite our IC families to our 2nd Annual VIP & Me Dance on February 7th. Tickets will be sold in advance and will include dinner, dessert, dancing, and games. Par-ents, this will be your opportunity to have a special night with your favorite IC Explorer. Be sure to come dressed to impress and ready to have a good time. Additional flyers will be sent home with students. Please call the front office if you have any questions regarding this special night.

Attendance and Early Release Should your student need to miss school for any reason, please call the attendance line at (317)-964-4405. If parents need to contact the school with any change in dismissal, please call the office at (317)964-4400 be-fore 1:30pm. The front office will close for early release between 2:00-2:30. To maximize student instruc-tional time, students will not be called down to the office for dismissal until parent arrives for pick up.

7th Grade Transfer Request Students entering 7th grade in the fall may submit a request to attend a middle school other than the school currently serving their attendance boundary. The deadline is February 16th. See the Announcement on the website for details.

Parent Resource & Engagement Program Our first Parent and Family Resource Engagement Program of the school year, What Parents Need to Know About Drugs, to be held on January 30th at 6:00 pm at Lawrence North High School, 7802 Hague Road. Lawrence Basketball at Bankers Life Make plans to join the Lawrence Community for an exciting afternoon of basketball on Saturday, January 11 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 125 S Pennsylvania Street! Visit the website for a schedule of events.
