iPAL basics...iPAL was created by the Information Technology Department and the Educational Services Department of the Dysart Unified School District.

Each person sees something different when they enter iPAL because reports are generated based on who you are. Administrators can view the data for the school, grade levels, individual teachers and students. Teachers can view the data for their class and their students.

iPAL is integrated so that the user can select an area that needs improvement in iASSESS and be directed to iPLAN for curricular information and support. The user will also be directed to iLEARN for professional learning opportunities designed to support that particular area. Yeah... it’s pretty cool!

Select the unit you want to view.

iPLANSelect the subject area you want to view. Select the course or

grade level you want to view.1

General resources that support all areas of the course or grade level are displayed at the

bottom of the screen.

A curriculum map, which includes downloadable resources, will be displayed.

iASSESSThe first screen of iASSESS is dynamic. This means that it displays live data, and is dependent on your role. The results of the most recent assessment will be displayed on the first screen.

The AIMS data that you see in current reports depicts how the students did last year. For example, a teacher can see how the students in his current class did on the AIMS taken in the proceeding Spring.

Reports can also be viewed for previous years. For example, a teacher can see how her class from last year did on the AIMS, taken while they were in her class by selecting this icon.

the page.

Priority charts (aka Pareto charts) display the concepts that need the most attention based on the students’ assessment results. By selecting the boxes, you will be directed to the aligned curricular resources and the available professional learning opportunities. This report can be viewed for the entire class as well as an individual student.

Select “My Info” and then “My Transcript” to view the classes you have taken and to complete surveys and print certificates.

To find classes in iLEARN, select“Search Class Catalog” to search or “View Upcoming Classes” to peruse the classes that are being offered in the near future.
