For my research I looked at Alfie Green’s blog. I looked through his posts and got an idea of what I can do for my magazine, and the type of things I will have to know/learn. I liked the layout and colour scheme of his blog as it matched his background and looked very sophisticated. He tagged all his posts and there are links to them on his sidebar which means you can find a post efficiently.

• He posted production diaries often and they were very good as they included detailed descriptions of what he has been doing, what he will be doing and they also had pictures and sometimes videos in them.

• Alfie Green’s magazine was very good because it looks like a professional one as the colour scheme is bright, but not childishly so. His text also sounds like it was written by a professional and the images are well shot. The model and costumes he used are very relevant to the kind of music magazine he has done. He hasn’t written too much in his double page spreads and has been more creative by adding the singers Instagram posts and things like that which is inventive and resourceful.

• Alfie’s posts are all very detailed and explanatory which is very helpful. He has used a variety of multimedia in his posts including pictures, PowerPoints, Prezis, videos, and sound files. Some of these he has created himself and some are by someone else but he has used them for help of inspiration. He posts frequently which is good as the examiner will see that he has worked hard on his blog as well as his coursework in general.
