Simplified approach

Nokia SoftWare Accelerator (Intrapreneurship@NSW)

Within this program we encourage you to:

Think Big

We want to find the next big opportunity by instilling a culture of innovation and

excitement in order to enable ideas that are outside the current scope - that's right -

anything goes at this stage - your ideas do not necessarily have to be inline with Nokia

Software products and solutions

Move Fast

Our intention is to create a large volume of ideas and then help you to develop the very

best ideas quickly, including prototyping and external validation. These ideas need to be

scalable quickly in order to survive the fast pace of the program.

Have Fun

Most importantly - have fun ! Be inspired by innovation, build your teams and create

lasting friendships, celebrate both failures and success - and of course expect generous

rewards for successful innovations.

From best practices

Next steps for better innovation management

Nokia Internal Use

1. Percolate innovation spirit deeper in teams and wider in units

• Continue Awareness sessions deeper into teams

• Onboard more entities, ambassadors

• Cascadate targets and means (Location’s targets into N3-level teams and workload allowance into volunteering employees’ objectives)

• Support and educate idea owners with coaching and networking

2. Increase visibility

• Location level : thematic innovation campaigns, large + targeted communication (themes, NYPPS…)

• Teams level : InnoDay 2019, hackathons on local issues

• Individual level : pitch contests, GIM awards 2019…

3. Open boundaries

• Team up with other Nokia Locations to duplicate ideas or to share development of large projects

• Leverage ecosystem partners to share ideation and development of specific ideas
