PASTOR’S MESSAGE Welcome to worship this weekend. is is my favorite time of the year. I look forward to spring and this time of new beginnings. In a few weeks we will see the flowers begin to unfold from their winter nap and all of God’s creation will show a new birth. I pray that we all catch this same spirit and spiritually begin to blossom in the gifts and ministries that God has given us. I heard of a grandfather whose four- year-old granddaughter sat on his lap and was talking about this special day. e grandfather asked if she understood what Easter was really about, and what the Bible said about Easter. Her answer was “Yes, I learned it at Sunday school.” She continued, “Jesus died and was put into a grave and an earthquake happened. e entire town came out by the grave, and if Jesus came out and saw His shadow, they knew there would be six more weeks of winter!“ Well…at least she had part of the story correct! But it is important that we understand the implication of the resurrection for our own life; that our soul is born again and all things become new. at is the reason we will be having a Baptismal service this Easter Sunday morning; to join in the resurrection that water baptism so beautifully illustrates. So, if you have not been baptized since you committed your life to Christ or you feel a need to do your “first works over,” come join us in starting this season of your life brand new. In doing so we will be encouraged by the new start it promises all of us. the importance of prayer

Prayer is of supreme importance in the life of a Christian because of the importance it is given in the Word of God. How much we pray also reveals how much we depend on God. At Living Waters prayer is not only a priority but it is the foundation of everything we do. Every leader knows that a program/event that is not birthed in prayer will not build the kingdom of God and every volunteer knows that to be effective in their ministry, they must be people of prayer. There is great power when we pray. Come, let’s pray together:• Prayer to begin each service• Prayer for special needs and requests• Prayer over the offering• Prayer during altar call• Intercessory prayer - Sunday 6:00am• Intercessory prayer - Wednesday 6:00pm (War Room -#205)• Prayer Request Cards• Prayer Requests submitted via prayer-chain ([email protected]) =
