1. Happy 68th Anniversary to Al and Edna Hess! The floral arrangement in the santuary today is in honor of Al and Edna Hess’ 68th wedding anniver-sary. Praist the Lord for their faithful and enduring union!

2. Worship Service has changed to 11:30am In anticipation of returning to two worship services in the near future, as well as phasing back into our Sabbath School programs, our worship time has shifted to our regular schedule of Sabbath School hour (10:20a - 11:20a) followed by ‘Second Service’ at 11:30am. It also prepares us to re-establish first service when the time comes, hopefully soon. Thank you for being so faithfully flexible as we continue to adapt.

3. Thank You to our wonderful Social Committee Many thanks to our So-cial Committee for hosting the Valentine’s Drive Thru event this past Sab-bath. We are blessed to have a church family that actively searches for ways to come together and fellowship the best way we can during these challenging times.

4. In-Person Worship Service Current guidelines have given us the oppor-tunity to hold in-person worship services with a gathering of approximately 100 attendees. We are striving to provide a well- spaced, clean, safe set-ting for worship. Please be clear that we are expecting a high commitment, from all individuals choosing to participate in person, to respect and adhere to the current safety protocols which include proper mask wearing and dis-tancing.

5. Live Stream Services- New Times! Children’s Church will now show at 11:00a until 11:20a and is specifically designed for our children. Following that will be our main church service beginning at 11:20a with prelude music and scrolling announcements. Our shared worship service starts at 11:30a.

6. Enroll Your Student in Tualatin Valley Academy TVA has begun enroll-ment for the 2021-2022 school year. Visit their website for more information on how to register. tualatinvalleyacademy.org

7. TVA is back to In-Person Learning Full day, in-person learning options are now available at TVA for all grades! All TVA staff is working hard to make classrooms a safe place and taking all required health precautions. They are so thankful to be able to welcome their students back!

8. Walking Partner Needed Beaverton SDA female looking for a walking partner for afternoon, evening and weekend walks. The short days and COVID restrictions are starting to make her feel cooped up, but she would rather not walk alone. Dogs are welcome to join as well. Rain or shine. 9. Community Service is accepting clothing donations again! Commu-nity Service can now accept clothing donations! Please make sure the clothing is clean and still in good condition. There is also the continued need for personal care items and cleaning supplies.

10. Community Service Volunteers Need! Community service is in need of a variety of volunteers to fill positions in the ministry. Contact Jerry at 503.726.8832. - Bilingual volunteer to help with the interview step of their process. Spanish is the most frequently needed language at this time. - Clothing Room Aide: Assist the Clothing Room lead. - Check-in Desk Aide: Assist Desk Lead in checking in the community members and be a first contact for Community Service Ministries.

11. In-Person Service Volunteers The Infection Control Committee is looking for volunteers to assist with greeting and sanitation during our in-person church services. We will be strictly adhering to the heatlh and safety regula-tions, to include social distancing and mask wearing, while also welcoming our church family and making sure our church is sanitized. If this is some-thing you feel comfortable volunteering for, please contact the church office at [email protected] or at 503-646-9828.

12. Beaverton Adventist Church App - If you would like to be in the commu-nication loop of our local church community then you will need to get set up with the app. Please get connected by going to www.beavertonsda.com to discover guidance on the homepage or by going to your smart phone’s App Store and search by typing exactly “Beaverton Adventist Church” with the quote marks. IMPORTANT NOTE: When prompted to accept notifications select ‘Allow Notifications’ in order to be in the flow of communication.

13. Beaverton Adventist Church App UPDATES- If it seems that you are no longer receiving notifications from the church app, go to the “hamburger” icon (upper left) and select Settings > Notifications and check that the de-sired notification categories are enabled. In particular, the General category should be enabled, others are optional.

14. Tithe Envelopes- If you have been mailing your tithes and offerings into the church and are in need of more Tithe envelopes, please contact John Law-son via e-mail at [email protected] or via phone at 503.539.3966.

■ Richard Oien, the brother-in-law of Karen Johnson, is in the hospital recovering from a heart attack. He is experiencing complications with diabetes. Please pray for him and his wife Janet. 3/7

■ Jan Pullen has been hospitalized for a lower gastrointestinal bleed. She will be having a colonoscopy to see if they can locate and stop the bleeding. Please keep her in your prayers tomorrow as she faces a new medical problem. Pray for her medical team and a good outcome with the procedure. 3/6

■ Jackie Wilcox requests prayers for her friend’s son who suffered life-threatening injuries during a trucking accident. He has had one of his legs amputated and has gone through many surgeries. Pray for the surgeons and medical staff caring for him, and also that recovery may come to him quickly. 3/6

■ Praise to the Lord as Jay and Melissa Brownell have welcomed their newest baby girl! May the Lord continue to bless their family with health and happiness. 3/6

■ A few friend of the Beaverton church family, Fredrick Hamilin, requests healing & pain relief from cancer & spiritual/emotional imbalance. Fred says he is so grateful to have found our church community. Everyone has been very kind & welcoming. Praise be to God for so many blessings. 2/27

■ Thank you for being so supportive in prayer. Brenda Payne’s surgery, according to the surgeon, went very well and there is every reason to expect the best outcomes. She appreciates your continued prayer for healing as she moves towards a more pain free life. 2/27

■ D’Leah’s daughter, Nicole, went to sleep safely held in the arms of God. The family is hurting but have the peace that comes through trust in God. Please continue to pray for this precious family as they grieve together. Our God is a good God who holds resurrection power in His voice. 2/27

■ Praise Update for Jody Neufeld and her family: Jody’s surgery went very well and she is already experiencing God’s goodness in her recovery. Thank you so much for all your prayers and continue to pray that God’s healing hands continue to rest on her. 2/27

■ A prayer request from Jan Pullen regarding her friend, Theresa. She has previously been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and now has two areas on her liver. She also has clots in her lungs and is pretty sick. Please pray for her health and recovery and for wisdom and skill of her medical team. 2/27

PRAISES & REQUESTS ■ Please pray for Andria, a friend of Jackie Wilcox, who fell in snow and broke

her ankle. She will be off work for month at least, and will be in cast for up to 4 months/ if all goes well. 2/27

■ Praise and continued prayers for Cindy Mohr’s granddaughter, Lucy. Since the feeding tube was placed a few weeks ago Lucy has gained about one pound for which we praise God. Lucy and her parents will be flying to Pittsburgh this Sunday morning for 3 days of appointments at the Children’s Hospital. Please pray for safe travels and that Lucy will do well while they are traveling. 2/27

■ Julius Jones has had surgery on his knee and continues to need prayer for healing and comfort. 2/20

■ Sallie Settle has gone in for surgery on her hand. Please pray for healing and recovery for from these procedures and that she may regain the use of her fingers. 2/20

■ Please pray for Violeta Alva, Edith Carcagno’s sister, who lives in Peru. She has been battling cancer for a long time, She is in a lot of pain and morphine no longer helps her with the pain. Please also pray for her husband and her daughters who care for her. 2/13

■ Please pray for Steve Harr, Marilyn Clark’s son. He had back surgery and hip surgery recently. Please pray for his healing and Marilyn’s peace. 2/13

■ Re-Opening Please pray for wisdom and guidance that is very much needed for our church leadership to discern both when to re-open and how best to re-open.

■ Pray for all of those who have been affected by this virus. Pray for our world and that the love of God and the Hope of our salvation will remain strong. Praise the Lord that our church family who have already been diagnosed with this virus are now on the road to recovery or have recovered from it.

■ Prayer requests will remain on the list for three weeks unless an update is provided. An update or a request to remain on the list is needed past those 3 weeks. Thank you!
