Galveston County Fashion Show & Fashion Story Board

The Galveston County fashion show and story board contest will be held on March 24,

2015 at 6:00 pm at the Galveston County Extension Office. Signup for fashion show

deadline is March 13, 2015.

The fashion show is built on two different concepts: construction, which you make the

garment yourself and buying, which uses comparison shopping.

The 4-H Fashion Storyboard is an industry-inspired method of displaying of original de-

signs. The best storyboards create vivid visual images that are interesting and appealing

to viewers. The storyboard “tells the story” of the designer’s idea. The storyboard in-

cludes original illustrations and flats, as well as, additional materials (such as photos from

the internet or magazines, paper, fabric swatches, patterns, etc.) that have influenced

the unique design. The purpose of the Fashion Storyboard contest is to give 4-H mem-

bers an opportunity to create a storyboard of their original design. It also provides the

members an opportunity to gain knowledge of the career responsibilities of a fashion de-

signer and illustrator, enhance creativity and originality, and develop visual communication

skills.

4-H members must submit a storyboard on the day of the contest that provides a solu-

tion to the following design brief. Please refer to the guidelines for details.

Here are the rules for the fashion show. Please disregard any references to district, we

want to make sure the kids use the same rules as district competition.

lanta, Ga recently. Haley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joey Tucker and Victoria, daughter of Mr. and

their fund raisers and or made generous donations to fund this

trip. Both of these 4-H members are involved in multiple areas of

the 4-H program including holding offices in their clubs and at the
