20 Dozen Cookies for Compassion Dinner

Maranatha Sign up sheet completed in class - class members delivered cookies to Jubilee Center day of.

Feb 13 Day Center for the Homeless

Serve Dinner Maranatha Class funded $500 for dinner and supplied plates, sliverware, cups and napkins. A team of 10 class members served 140 -150 plates to day center clients

Feb 23 Boston Ave Chili Supper for Barton

Maranatha Class hosted dinner for Barton/Clinton/Gordy lecture and served approx. 100 people.

May 8 Day Center for the Homeless

Serve Dinner Maranatha Class funded $500 for dinner and served approximately 120 people. 14 volunteers from class participated.

June 15

Project Transformation

Intern Dinner Maranatha Main Dish provided through class funds; side dishes provided by class members. Rex and Alene Donely delivered the meal to the interns.

Maranatha Eleven class members spent the morning helping Project Transformation students improve their reading skills.

Jul 23 Compassion Dinner Setup Maranatha Ten class members assisted in the setup for the Compassion Dinner on July 23.

Sunday School after Class

Note cards to students/parents of Sistema Tulsa

Maranatha Approximately 25 class members wrote welcoming notecards to Sistema enrollees.

Oct 1 Compassion Dinner Setup Maranatha Approximately 16 class members assisted with setup and serving for the Compassion Dinner.

Oct 29 Compassion Dinner Setup Maranatha Eight class members assisted with setup and serving for the Compassion Dinner.

Missions 2015 Nov 22

Redemption House Serve Dinner, 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Maranatha Approximately 10 Maranatha class members prepared and served dinner to 90+ attendees for Sunday evening service at Redemption House.

Dec 8 Neighbor for Neighbor Santa Days Evening Mission

Two shifts of 5-7 people starting at 5:15.

Maranatha Served approximately 50 families for Christmas photos, toys for children and snacks.

Setup/Teardown for Sistema Tulsa Concert

Setup beginning at 4:30 pm and assist with teardown after concert (concernt from 6 to 7pm)

Need 5 – 8 Volunteers to be greeters, servers, welcoming.

Jubilee hall was completely packed. All available chairs were used and after the concert, all was put away by Maranatha.

Dec 27

Redemption House Serve Dinner, 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Maranatha (need 6-10 volunteers) need funding

We need to plan on 90-100 diners. We bring sides, i.e. beans, potato's, desert and dinner rolls. Approx $100.

Socials for 2015 • Friday, January 23rd, 6:00 p.m. International Progressive Dinner – The five members of the Social

Committee will each host a dinner at a restaurant offering a different type of food (Italian, Mexican, American, Mediterranean, Japanese). Members of the class will sign up for whichever restaurant they prefer and order from the menu. Then at 8:00 we will all meet at the church for dessert and more fellowship.

• Sunday, March 8, Noon Road Trip to the Coleman Theatre in Miami, OK – Back by popular demand, this time without ice on the roads, please! We will see the 2:30 viewing of the 1915 silent film The Italian while Resident Organist Dennis James plays the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ. We will return around 6:00 p.m.

• • Friday, May 1, 6:30 p.m. Super Swap Potluck – Everyone is to bring a dish to share along with

any books, CDs or DVDs that you don’t wish to read/hear/watch anymore. We will swap treasures and extend the joy reading, listening and viewing for hours.

• Sunday, July 12, Noon Support BABA! – We will gather for lunch and to enjoy supporting the

talented children, youth and adults of Maranatha in this year’s BABA production.

• Sunday, August 30, 9:30 a.m. Brunch & Bluegrass Band Concert – We are asking our own Dave Shepherd to lead a lesson in the Boy Scout Room based upon his music with his renowned bluegrass band. We hope to partner with the Horizons Class for this if they are available.

• Sunday, October 4, 5:00 p.m. Cookout & Hayride – Get ready for a crisp fall evening with hot dogs and s’mores roasted over a bonfire!

• • Saturday, November 7, 6:00 p.m. Battle of the Sexes – Maranatha will divide & conquer! The ladies will

gather in Angie Dale’s media room for drinks, snacks & a chick flick, while the guys gather in Jeff Allen’s media room for drinks, snacks & and football game. A good time will be had by all!

• Christmas auction, December 4th at the Tulsa Country Club.
