ROCOL® was founded upon the work of Victor Ivanovitch Ragosine, born in Russia, who took a degree in chemistry at the University of Moscow in 1854.

In 1882, the UK agency manager Ernest Glehn bought out Victor and the Russian parent company and established Ragosine and Company, later to be developed into ROCOL®.

Based in Leeds, UK, the origins of our company date back to 1878 when Victor Ragosine developed a yellow lubricating oil which he subsequently sold throughout Europe. Unlike other lubricating methods the yellow oil was virtually non-corrosive making it technically superior to other products available.

To speed up cure of an ep-oxy, the material should be mixed, applied to the repair area & warmed with a heat lamp or other heat source. Heat lamps should be placed about 0.5m from the epoxy. Never expose epoxy to direct flame.

To prevent sticking of epoxy to a surface, coat the sur-face with Rocol® Dry Film Teflon® Spray or other coat-ing material such as silicone or wax. Uncured epoxies can be removed using Scrubs® Hand Cleaner Towels.

This chemi-cal reaction generates heat. The space in the housing either side of the bearing should be only 50/60% grease packed as this ensures there is space for the grease exuded from the mounted bearing during initial rotation. Overfilling the housing will result in high temperatures due to the excessive pressures imposed on the grease.
