1.1. ATIS*ATIS 127.1

1.2. SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTSThese requirements are applicable to:- all commercial purpose ACFT operators; and- all non-commercial purpose ACFT operators having a maximum certified pas-

senger seating capacity above 19, crew seats excepted.

1.2.1. OPERATING CONDITIONSDue to mountainous terrain in the vicinity of Chambery APT, it is consideredessential that pilots are well familiar with approach, missed approach, circlingmanoeuvres, and departure procedures.Therefore, concerned operators have to set specific operational instructions forthe use of Chambery APT as well as provisions for their pilots’ training. The responsibility for the preparation of such information rests on the operator(or pilot-in-command for non-commercial flights).The design of any departure contingency procedure is the responsibility of theoperator/pilot-in-command.

1.2.2. AIRPORT KNOWLEDGEA briefing about procedures intended for use is mandatory for captains and pilotsto whom the flight can be delegated. Instruction in a suitable flight simulator (FSTD) or training in VMC on site isrequired before night operations and operations in weather conditions of lessthan 3500' of ceiling and VIS 5000m.

1.2.3. FURTHER INFORMATIONAll operators and pilots must be able to prove that they comply with the aboverequirements. The application of these provisions will be subject to verificationsduring ramp inspections.

1.3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURE (LVP)Pilots are advised via ATIS when LVP are in progress.The LVP phase at departure starts when RVR is between 250m and 400m.No LVP at arrival.Taxiing on manoeuvring area is allowed for only one ACFT at the same time.If RVR is less than 400m, taxiing via TWY S - THR 36, except for B757 ACFT, tax-iing via TWY C is mandatory.

1.4. OTHER INFORMATIONWildlife strike hazard.Helicopter activity.Parachuting.RWY 36 right-hand circuit.
