Our two year MBAprogrammes are designed to develop business leaders with an attitude to perform and skills to excel.
We believe in grooming students to become self driven, proactive and value oriented achievers. We emphasize on education rather than
qualification, collaboration rather than competition and therefore learning rather than examination. In an endeavor to capture the creative
vibes of students and preventing them from being caged and instruction driven, an activity centered, experiment oriented and self discovering
environment is created.
The MBA curriculum is designed to sharpen the mental and intellectual acumen and to encourage student participation in on/off campus
activities like seminars, projects, presentations, quizzes, workshops, business plans, case studies and term papers etc. besides cultural
activities.
Taking cognizance of the importance of having an experience of the corporate environment a large number of students undergo On Job Training
(OJT). It provides them with an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge to gain experience.
Globalization has led to an increase in demand for multilingual cross-cultural managers. The teaching of foreign languages in the University goes
a long way in making students global business leaders, ready to face international challenges.
The summer training helps students to apply the principles and the theoretical framework they learn in the classrooms, in complex business
situations. In the last semester the students submit a comprehensive project business plan, which is meant for implementation of business
theories and concepts they learnt over the period of two years from grass roots to the redefined levels.

THE PLACEMENT
The Placement Office is managed by the Placement Committee which consists of
student representatives. The activities of the Placement Committee include
coordinating for the Summer Internship Program, the Lateral Recruitment Program &
the Campus Recruitment Program. It corresponds with the prospective employers,
arranges Pre-Placement Talks and Personal Interviews on campus and provides all the
facilities required by the visiting companies.
Building Campus Presence
Pre-placement Talks (PPTs)
Distributing the Published Material
Conferences, Workshops,Academic Fairs
Sponsoring Projects
A successful recruiting effort is possible only when the students know you better. LUMBA offers you many opportunities to help build a good
corporate image among the students. The following are our recommendations for the same.
The pre-placement talks are presentations organized by the company on the college campus. Over the years, they have become the primary forums
for company-student interaction. These talks give the student a chance to learn more about your company, your people and your work culture. The
students can also learn about the opportunities for growth, learning and advancement that your company offers. They can also form a first-hand
impression of your company and can make an informed decision about applying for the placements. We have over the years found that senior
executives are the most effective in delivering the PPTs and also making a strong statement of commitment to recruiting from this institute. The
PPTs can take place on any mutually convenient day. If the company wishes to display some promotional material on campus, the final form of the
material can be sent to the Placement Office, which will arrange for its display.
An effective way of creating awareness about your company among the students is to provide them with information. The information could be in
the form of annual reports, company brochures, pamphlets, research material and other published information. The placement office will ensure
distribution of such material amongst the students. The students could also be provided with live case studies. This could be done by conducting
Case Contests.Apanel comprising company executives with/without LUMBAfaculty could evaluate the student presentations.
Various events, speaker series, panel discussions, conferences, workshops and academic fairs can be organized in which your company may
participate directly or contribute through partnerships. Institute scholarships and awards can also be sponsored by your company as a way to
express your companies' commitment to excellence in the student community at LUMBA.
Projects are an integral part of the academic curriculum at LUMBA. Over the years, many students have taken up live projects with many
organizations. This provides the students involved a basic understanding of the company's operations. It also raises your companies' profile among
students and the faculty.
