SAFE

Runs feature one common transformerper circuit. UL requirements limit eachcircuit to 300-W and 15V.

Secondary circuit breakers offer short-circuit protection as a standard feature.

Magnetic circuit breakers provide afaster response to a fault in the system.

An in-line primary thermostat protectsagainst thermal over-load. Thesebuilt-in thermostats are auto-resetting,eliminating the need for replacement ormaintenance.

Because compliance is importantlong after the installation is complete –Kichler follows all applicable UL safetystandards, including UL 1838 and alltransformers carry a UL Listing marksuitable for the U.S. and Canadianmarketplace.

Internal wiring is rated for 150°C(302°F), which exceeds safetystandard requirements andprovides longer life.

POWERFUL

Various wattage options are availableincluding: 60, 75, 100, 200, 300, 600,900, and 1200 in many timer and plug-in options.

Available in premium or economyoptions – convenient for larger, morecomplicated jobs or where smallerprofile, lower-wattage units canbe used.

DURABLE

Full enclosure of the housing protectscomponents from weather, sprinklingsystems and debris.

Professional Series housings are madeof stainless steel grade 304 designedto run cooler and resist corrosion, andlast longer in outdoor environments.

Multi-tap transformers allow greaterflexibility in managing multiple wireruns by moving cables up and downthe multi-range. This assures that thecorrect voltage is applied to a lamp –creating a consistent light outputand maximizing lamp life.

DEPENDABLE

Every tap is tested on the assembly lineto ensure that output is consistentlyaccurate.

Installation is simplified, thanks to30°-tilted taps mounted on the125-Amp terminal board. This givesyou more space and greater visibilitywhile inserting cables into taps.

Units can be loaded up to the fullmaximum watts, including cablelength, fixtures and cable loss. Forease in calculating runs, Kichler providesa Voltage Drop Tool that features pull-down menus and professional printoutsfor recordkeeping.

WARRANTY

Limited lifetime warranty offered onStainless Steel (SS) transformer models.

A limited 10-Year Warranty on powder-coated Textured Architectural Bronze(AZT) transformer models.

CORE AND COIL CONSTRUCTION

All core and coil-types used in Kichlertransformers, except economy series,feature epoxy encapsulation. This providescommercial-grade benefits such as:

PROTECTION: Core, copper windings,wire leads and inner parts are set insideepoxy to prevent exposure to moistureto resist corrosion and maintain apermanent seal.

QUIET: Humming noises are eliminated,as well as vibration, keeping connectionsfrom loosening.

COOL: Epoxy also keeps unit runningcooler. Running cooler at full load issafer and conserves energy.

OTHER IMPORTANT INSTALLATIONCONSIDERATIONS:

Submersible rated transformers aredesigned and rated to provide powerfor fixtures placed in a pond, fountain orother landscape water feature. Fixturesused in water features must also be ratedfor submersible use. Transformers ratedfor use with submersible fixtures feature3' of #12-3 SJTW cord. They are NOTrated for use with fixtures in pools, spasor bodies of water intended for immersionof humans. The submersible rating featurevaries by model.

National Electric Code and UnderwritersLaboratories (UL) require that wiring,where concealed or extended through abuilding wall, must be enclosed in conduit.

TIP ON PRIMARY POWER:

Since 120-Volts can vary dependingon time of day and local utility fluctuations,always measure the voltage on the primaryside before and during job installation.Transformers reduce primary input in a ratioof 10:1 – Ex: 120 Volts:12 Volts.
