COMPUTER DRIVEN WAIT LISTS

Course Changes

• "Change of mind" changes may be made anytime before June 1st

• Changes will be allowed based on course availability

• "Change of mind" changes will not be done in September

Page 26: Lorne Park Secondary School Grade 9 Course Selection Presentation 2014/2015.

Valid Reasons for Course Changes

• The only timetable changes that are done in September are for students who have conflicts such as:

- no prerequisite for chosen course due to a course failure

- a selected course was completed at summer school and room is available in another course

- health issue

Summer School

• Students may reach ahead by taking a course at summer school.

• If you plan to take a course at summer school, do not select that course for next year.

• Choose stand alone courses like Careers and Civics (must choose two courses) or History. Stay away from Math, English or Science that are continuation courses.

• If you decide to attend summer school and have already selected the course you plan to take at summer school, speak to your Guidance Counsellor.
