Der Anteil von neu aufgetretenen Krebsfällen bei den Patienten, die während der letzten 10 Jahre in einem Abstand bis zu 400 Meter um die seit 1993 betriebene Mobilfunksendeanlage gewohnt hatten, gegenüber weiter entfernt lebenden Patienten signifikant höher war und die Patienten waren in durchschnittlich jüngerem alter erkrankt.

Für die Jahre 1999-2004 – also nach 5 Jahren Betriebszeit des Senders – hatte sich das Malignomrisiko für die näher an der Sendestation lebende Bevölkerung im Vergleich der Gruppe im Nailaer Außenbereich verdreifacht.

Nullhypothese: die räumliche Nähe zu der Mobilfunksendeanlage hat keinen Einfluss auf die Krebsinzidenz der untersuchten Bevölkerungsgruppe, das heißt in den Gruppen näher und ferner als 400 m sind Krebsneuerkrankungen gleich häufig zu erwarten.
