In Late November 2013 the folks at Fletcher Organ Studio in Green Valley, AZ hosted a concert and pot luck event for members and their friends. e crowd filled the classroom and flowed into the store. Everyone enjoyed the music and food, plus a number of people joined our chapter and signed up for classes. e highlight of the aſternoon was a drawing in which invited guests had a chance to win a free Lowrey instrument along with music classes. Michael Stout was the lucky winner! Events like this are a great way to introduce people to our world of music and the friendships we enjoy at the studio. Musical accompaniment was provided with an EZP3 Easy Piano while artist, Aaron Kizer painted portraits in approximately 4 minutes each. e reception and performance art event drew attendees from as far away as Puerto Rico and was a great opportunity for people to see and hear a Lowrey, some for the very first time.

Speed Painting Certainly a new experience for Lowrey! The Intercontinental Hotel near Chicago’s O’Hare airport recently hosted a speed painting event. Clair de Lune by: Bil Curry
Ok, so how many of you thought this piece was about a “looney” girl named Clair? None? Good! Clair de Lune is French for moonlight and is the third and most famous part of Claude Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque. Debussy was inspired by the Paul Verlaine poem of the same name, which we share below.

Here are some easy setups. We will not be using a style this time. • On the EZ-2 & EZ-4 press the Smooth style button, then immediately turn it off. Now press the Easy button, and Duet harmony.• On the EZ-10 and EY-300 Fanfare press Setup #1, the Easy button, and Duet harmony.• On the Lowrey elite “A”, & “SU” series press General Preset #8, the Easy button, and Duet harmony.- Play the song as written and turn off the Easy button as you release the last note.- Don’t play with strict timing but vary your speed as the mood of the music takes you along.
