THE PEACEMAKER by Ken Sande

Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers." But it often seems like conflict and

disagreement are unavoidable. Serious, divisive conflict is everywhere-within

families, in the church, and out in the world. And it can seem impossible to

overcome its negative force in our lives.

Wesley Sunday School Class invites you to join us for a 6 week study,

May 19-June 23. We meet from 10:00-10:45 each Sunday in the Asbury

Room, downstairs adjacent to Wesley Hall and the Kitchen. Books are avail-

able to purchase.

In The Peacemaker, Ken Sande presents a comprehensive and practical theol-

ogy for conflict resolution designed to bring about not only a cease-fire but

also unity and harmony. Sande takes readers beyond resolving conflicts to

true, life-changing reconciliation with family members, coworkers, and fellow

believers.

Biblically based, The Peacemaker is full of godly wisdom and useful sugges-

tions that are easily applied to any relationship needing reconciliation. Sande's

years of experience as an attorney and as president of Peacemaker Ministries

will strengthen readers' confidence as they stand in the gap as peacemakers.

We welcome our Summer Interns beginning June 1st!

CARRY OUT COMMUNION ON THE FIRST SUNDAY

The CARE TEAM in cooperation with the ALTAR TEAM has pre-

pared carry out communion kits for the congregation to share

with those unable to attend worship. Do you know of someone

who has not received the Sacrament in a while? Please use this

opportunity to offer a blessing to someone else. Each kit will

have the elements, a napkin, and a brief guide to assist you in

sharing the Lord’s Supper. Members of the CARE Team will have

these kits available in the Hospitality Area. There is a refrigera-

tor marked with the kits inside.
