Discrimination: Over time, certain cultural groups in American

have been oppressed and treated unfairly. These groups have

protested and taken action to bring out equality in our nation.

Discrimination often has negative effects:*Slavery*Taking land from others (Native Americans)*Eradication of cultures (Imperialism)*Genocide- systematic killing of large numbers of people
