Blessed Trinity Parish Catholic Parishes of Calhoun County St. Francis of Assisi Parish

St. Francis of Assisi --We are in need of someone (or a team of someones) to chair the October dinner. What about someone from each of our churches—St. Anselm, St. Michael, and St. Norbert? Or would you consider chairing one portion of the event—such as the raffle. By now, letters would normally have been sent out asking for donations. Is there a type of raffle that someone could spearhead that wouldn’t require $100 worth of postage spent up front? Please contact the office ASAP! We need good ideas—quickly!! BT Quarterly Parish Meeting—Our next parish-wide

quarterly meeting will be held Sept 10th at 7pm at St.

Joseph’s Hall in Meppen. Everyone is invited to attend, as

we will continue to consider the steps necessary to grow

into the vision we have for our parish and school.

Did You Know? An informal prayer time is held every Monday at 1 pm in the basement at St. Barbara Church. Everyone is welcome.

Save the Date!--REBOOT! Featuring: Catholic author and speaker, Chris Stefanick on Thursday, September 19th 7:00 -9:30PM at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. More details available at www.spicathedral.org/reboot. Tickets are $25 each. Ages 12 & up encouraged! SFA PSR Registration—Thank you to all who registered prior to the August 15 deadline! We have a wonderful group of about 40 students spread across the grades. We will be combining 6th-8th, but the other classes will remain separate. At this time, we are ordering materials for the number registered. We are still accepting registration; however, we ask that you not plan to register September 11, the first night. We will not have anyone there that night to handle checks and forms. Please do not bring your child until you have registered! Thank you! To the Norbert Godar Family. $850 was donated to St. Francis of Assisi in memory of Norbert Godar. Ladies, Save the Date! The 91st annual Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Convention will be held at St. Boniface in Edwardsville on Wed., September 25. One big THANK YOU—to all the picnic committees, parishioners and friends who worked to help make the Blessed Trinity Parish picnics a success this year. Despite the closure of the bridge, attendance and income was good. A lot of hard work, sweat, planning and cooperation goes into providing this annual event and everyone who helped in any way is to be commended.

Blessed Trinity Preliminary Picnic report—Keep in

mind that there are a few expenses

outstanding. When all expenses are paid a complete

report will be provided for each church event. Again,

thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to

make the picnics as successful as possible.
