HYMN O Little Town of Bethlehem (vs. 1, 4) #121O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.Yet in the dark streets shineth the everlasting light;

The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray;Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels the great tidings tell;O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel!

DEVOTION FOR THE THIRD SUNDAY IN ADVENT

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
