The True Word Suppressed

Famine-God’s Word

• Amos 8:11, “The days are coming declares the Sovereign, when I will send a famine through the land- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.”

False Teachers

• 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn away from truth and turn aside to myths.”

Great Falling Away

• 1 John 2:18-19, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have already heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For I they had belonged to us, they would have remained in us; but their going showed that none of them had belonged to us.”

Jesus said so

• Matt. 24:10-13+24, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved….For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect”.

Authentic Christians

• Will stand firm to the end, although some may initially be deceived.

• The true church will witness the great falling away, as referenced in 1 John 2:18-19 and Matt. 24, during the tribulation.

• If a pre-tribulation rapture were true, then Christians born out of tribulation would have to be those falling away. New Christians born through persecution-auth.

Counterfeit Christians

• Within The Church but not of the true church. Gallop/Barnum studies suggest 85-90% are so.

• The Church enters tribulation, with many counterfeit Christians within the churches and they will fall away with the persecution.

Compromise and Sin

• 2 Tim. 3:1-5, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.”

The Delusion

• 2 Thess. 2:9-12, “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie…all will be condemned”.

Some Starry Host

• Dan. 8:19-12, “It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them…it took away the daily sacrifice from him...Because of the rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it…truth was brought to the ground. (Tsbaah-mass of people, Mirmac-trample underfoot to a state of abasement or corruption.)

Even the Elect

• Matt. 24:24, “For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive the elect-if that were possible.”

Wise Instruction

• Dan. 11:33-35, “Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.”

Ultimate Refining

• Those who have not separated from the Last Babylon will suffer dearly, but will recover, with the help of wise instruction and the power of the Holy Spirit.
