MULTIPLE LEAKAGES RECORDED, PREVIOUS REPAIR ATTEMPTS BY PLASTERING OF SURFACE NOT SUCCESSFUL.
ORIGINALLY PLANNED REPAIRS OF EXISTING RC TANK BY CLEANING OF PLASTER AND IRONING OF WALLS & ROOF SLAB - NOT IMPLEMENTED DUE TO DETERIORATED CONDITION OF THE TANK.
Existing RC Tank Status
During the original construction of existing Tank – concrete cover has not been provided for roof slab re-bars, instead – plaster was applied, which has falling off repeatedly. High moisture environment caused severe corrosion of steel reinforcement.
Planned Construction Method
Existing Tank shell to be used for construction of new RC Tank; -Horizontal PVC Water Stop between wall kickers in base slab & wall segments; -- Vertical PVC Water Stop between 4nr Wall segments
