Our adversary is putting up a fight against us, trying to take out our God

given destiny. It reads in the second half of the verse in 1 John 4:4 ...”because great-

er is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” So proclaim, and I say thanks to all the mommies, daddy’s, grandma’s,

grandpa’s, aunts, uncles, on and on, that instilled God’s word to you and I, but above all thanks be to God for Jesus

Christ our Lord, he died and rose from the dead to bring us good news.

GOOD NEWS! It is written in Romans 9:29 It is just as

Isaiah said previously: “Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we

would have become like Sodom, we would have become like Gomorrah.” Sodom, Go-morrah, two cities we read about found

in The Book of Genesis, two cities that divine judgement from God was passed

on them along with two additional neighboring cities that were completely

consumed by fire and brimstone. Why were they destroyed? The answer is found

in Genesis 18: 20-21 “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and

their sin is very grave, I will go down to see whether they have done altogether

according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.” I kind a feel

like the apostle Paul, God has been good and merciful, I testify without shame,

and will proclaim his good news.

Day in and day out, as I hold on to the promises of God in Christ Jesus my Savior

and Lord, and in my best obedience to honor his word, I have yet to say he has

not failed me. I could share many things he has done for me and my loved ones, our family’s, friends and beyond, but my great-est testimony is, “I once was lost but now

I am found!” Abraham inquired of God for mercy on the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah, not to destroy them if righ-

teous people were found, the Lord agreed he would not destroy them for the sake

of the righteous. Family, friends, you and I are still here because of his mercy and goodness, please catch this- “Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants,

we would have become like Sodom, we would have become like Gomorrah.” God is for us not against us, he sent his only

begotten Son, to give us good news.
