Kyushu University IUPE Programs Why Kyushu University? n Japan's 4th oldest engineering school and 3 rd oldest Agricultural school Kyushu University was established in 1911 as one of the imperial colleges of Japan, which are currently known as the premier National Seven Universities and distinguish themselves as the most prestigious universities and remain the cream of the crop in research and education. n Japan's largest and most advanced university campus The university completed its relocation to the new flagship campus Ito campus in 2018, which makes it the largest single university campus in Japan. Ito campus is the core of an academic research city built on cooperation among industry, government, and academia utilizing state-of-the art facilities, creating a unique environment of education, research and innovation. n Developing as a Top Global University Kyushu University is currently working to enhance its international profile under the government's Top Global University project, while a number of engineering and technology subjects already have a top-100 QS world ranking. The number of international students is on the rise every year. Currently, 2,300 international students from 97 countries and regions are studying at Kyushu University. n Research Excellence and Strong Connection with Industry Kyushu University is a member of RU (Research University) 11, a consortium consisting of the top 11 Japanese research universities. Its membership shows that the university is highly active in research not only in Japan but also internationally. In addition, the university is active in cooperation with business and industry, facilitating seamless transaction between academic research and commercial development and application. n Study in the Great Livable City "Fukuoka" Kyushu University has four campuses which are all located in Fukuoka prefecture. Both historically and geographically, Fukuoka has been serving as Japan's "Gateway to Asia" and is now home for the second biggest population of international students in Japan. The city has been ranked as one of the world's top 10 livable cities by Monocle Magazine and offers a perfect living and educational environment for the students of Kyushu University.

The degree in Engineering provides an education targeted at the acquisition of a solid foundation of engineering and developing the ability to understand and explain a broad range of issues, based on the principles and laws of basic sciences, including physics and chemistry. In accordance with their individual aptitudes and needs, students select one of the following programs. n School of Agriculture https://www.agr.kyushu-u.ac.jp/english/course/iup/ The degree in Bioresource and Bioenvironment provides an education targeted at the acquisition of extensive knowledge related to bio-production, bio-functions, and bio-environmental sciences. Students also acquire expertise and skills that can be applied internationally and will graduate as professionals with a widely balanced approach to creating solutions. The agricultural research and education field includes a wide range of basic and applied sciences, covering both the natural and social sciences, like the below keywords.
