PROCESS BOOKKris Mangrum

Project OverviewFor this project, we were required to design a portal

site for the Design Program at UNL. The goal was to limit the number of clicks to navigate, while keeping all the necessary information. I was also aiming for a simplistic

layout, to help iterate both easy use and appealing design.

Group WireframeIn the begining of the project we were split into groups, and

assigned section to design. We then began to collaborate and design wireframes for the portal site.

Individual WireframesAfter the group wireframes, we began to work on the the

portal wireframes individually.

LogoI wanted to branch out from the rest of the class. So, I

decide to give the UNL Design portal a logo. I imagined the word ‘design’ with the University of Nebraska ‘N’ at the end

of the word.

DESIGN

Usability TestWe had a handful Art/Design students take a usability

test, reviewing our designs. Based on the grading of each question the individuals were asked, we then could make

the neccessary corrections to the portal design.

Final DesignsAfter the very helpful feedback I recieved from the usability

test, I was able to make the apropriate corrections to my portal design. Here is the final outcome of the portal site.
