  8. 8. Barriers Survey Complete the Barriers to Healthy, Safe, and Supportive Learning Environments survey. When you have completed, take nine stickers and plot your response on the poster of the survey. Lets discuss what

  10. 10. Strategy 2- Establish a physically and emotionally safe environment. Group A- Read the story about Jeff. Group B- Read the story about Lynda. Speed Dating- Group A will be the inner circle. Group B will be the outer circle. In the allotted time, discuss the two stories.

  13. 13. What do you believe about poverty? Lets take a survey. Go back to Kahoot (kahoot.it). For the game code, enter- 54879.
  14. 14. Common Myths People in poverty are unmotivated and have weak work ethics. Education, as a way out of poverty, is easily accessible to everyone. People living in poverty are uninvolved in their childrens education because they do not value education. People in poverty tend to abuse drugs and alcohol more than people in other socioeconomic classes.
