KHPR CREDENTIALS

1 Extensive Experience of the ‘not for profit’ sector

KHPR has nineteen years’ experience working in the not for profit sector, for clients including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Bible Society, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, Creative & Cultural Skills and the Prince's Regeneration Trust.

This has given us extensive working experience of the very particular governance and stakeholder issues involved in the sector and has kept me very aware of the importance of effective relationship management. I have also learned how to leverage PR in pursuit of sponsorship and fundraising, often yielding results that repay my fees many times over. This has included securing sponsorship, donations in kind and ambassadorial cooperation in both fundraising and awareness generation.

2 Ability to build sustainable partnerships

I have built enduring partnerships through 'win-win' collaborations that enable clients to achieve key goals in new areas. This goes as far back as Bible Society in partnership with Vogue in 1999 on a 6-page photo shoot on The Prodigal Daughter to the Prince's Foundation in partnership with the Ideal Home Show with a sustainable show-home in 2010-14.

3 Ability to deliver consistent results in national media

I have a particular expertise in working at a national level with national press, magazines and broadcast media and have never failed to deliver national coverage when required - whether the client is a large, prestigious organisation or a much less well-known name.

I was appointed in 2014 to help PRT expand its reach beyond the specialist property sector and begin to manifest as a public-facing charity. One of the highest impact aspects of my work with the PRT was achieved through creating a collaboration with the 2015 Ideal Home Show focussing on their work at the Middleport Pottery (above and below).

Having initially working on new key messages, I have now begun relationships with new ambassadors Kirstie Allsopp, George Clarke, Bill Bryson and Sarah Beeney. In addition, my work on fostering a relationship for the PRT with House Beautiful magazine has yielded triple page exposure in print and widely seen on-line publicity for the charity's work and I am currently negotiating two further transformational relationships within the consumer sector.

Querubi Oil

The owner of Querubi Oil wanted KHPR to help to tell the story of his journey to produce an artisanal product in a traditional way in South of France as he launched the first harvest of his creation to a select group of similarly passionate food outlets in the UK.

One of the specific achievement targets set for KHPR by Querubi’s owner, was the successful placement of an article on the first commercial harvest in a ‘quality’ member of the UK daily press. After connecting with and gaining the genuine interest of the right journalist, considerable discussion resulted in the Guardian’s publication of Querubi’s article and photographs on 15 April 2015. The article detailed the new product’s health and environmentally friendly credentials. Additional public relations activities included identifying a limited number of similarly minded entrepreneurs and business owners running organic farm shops and delicatessens in the UK and arranging face to face meetings with them for Querubi’s owner and founder. Following the necessary research, calls were made, introductions followed and a series of meetings was arranged. The outcome of the series of meetings was, per Querubi’s precise requirement, the placement of the 2015 harvest with a select number of outlets.

Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance (NCCA) UK

This small charity raises money for research and also runs appeals to pay for children to receive the treatment they need abroad if it can't be accessed in the UK. My communications role involves media and partnership development. A recent example of my work with the NCCA was my launch of an appeal to raise £100K in just 40 days so that two year old Chloe Balloqui could join a pioneering treatment trial in the United States.

I also initiated a feature in the London Evening Standard and through this was was able to bring Pimlico Plumbers on board as partners. Between the two supporters Chloe achieved funding for her potentially life-saving treatment.

My role was to deliver a PR initiative involving multiple partners - the UK government's Creative & Cultural Skills, the Crafts Council, Heritage Craft Association and, The Prince's Foundation. In addition to extensive media coverage - see below - I also brought on board ambassadorial support from Kirstie Allsopp

Prince’s Foundation – Ideal Home Show, 2010-13

I initiated several new programmes to take the Prince's Foundation from a business-to-business planning based charity to a consumer facing charity. This involved broadening its messages to include issues surrounding new homes and garden design. Key programmes included a five year partnership with Media 10, owners of the Ideal Home Show which delivered a show home for four consecutive shows plus sponsorship I income for the charity. I also initiated an ambassador programme with celebrities including garden designer, Diarmuid Gavin. Media coverage generated for the Prince's Foundation included:

House Beautiful – February 2013, 4 page feature

Sunday Times – March 2012, front page of supplement - see right and at: (http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/style/homes_and_gardens/Improve/ecohomes/article994498.ece)

The Craft Skills Awards and local media A key objective for the Craft Skills Awards was to promote the shortlisted entrants to their local media. In addition to significant national coverage, by tailoring individual stories to local media, providing contact information and photographs, their objective was successfully achieved.
