IBS – KBIS 2015
The micro-kitchen concept and connected
thermometer were debuted at the GE booth.. The
thermometer will be paired with the Paragon
Induction Cooktop, which is currently under
development, and is another example of the
growth of connected device innovation into the
kitchen realm.
The Germans also touted digital updates, such as
such as smart devices at the Bosch booth and
cooking made simpler on Miele’s range with a
new touch control panel that lifts to make the
display easier to navigate and scroll through
different cooking options.
The sleek and spacious cabinet options from
Bauformat were a hot topic among designers.
True appears to be making a push for the
consumer kitchen in a big way. It’s booth was
impressive and well attended.
The American Gas Association booth had a large
footprint and prominently featured Thermador
and Bosch appliances.
Many software and configuration providers had
significant displays this year, however, none
appeared to feature kitchen configuration
modules with specific appliance manufacturer
specifications and dimensions.
Broan-Nutone had a large booth space and
featured a Wolf cooktop and several digital
display units throughout the booth. The displays
promoted product features and benefits through
visitor self-interaction.
Major players from other
kitchen product sectors, such
as InSinkErator, were back at
the show this year in force
showcasing product features
and benefits in an engaging
way by using digital media.
Many appliance brands were advertised heavily at
the show. Here are two Bosch pieces from an
integrated program which featured on-premises
signage and digital ad buys as part of a search
marketing redirect program.
