Date : 24-02-2017 CIRCULAR No.29/2017 To All Members of the Association Sub: EASE OF COMPLIANCE OF LABOUR LAW RULES The Government of India, Ministry of Labour have modified the registers and forms required to be maintained under the following legislation as a part of is of compliance of the Labour Law Rules. 1. The Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 2. The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970. 3. The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976. 4. The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979. 5. The Mines Act, 1952. 6. The Minimum Wages Act, 1948. 7. The Payment of Wages Act, 1936. 8. The Sales Promotion Employees (Conditions of Service) Act, 1976. 9. The Working Journalists and Other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955. Copy of the Gazette of India Dated: 21.2.2017 is enclosed. Consequently, the following forms and registers may be replaced with the new forms. The Government of India, Ministry of Labour have modified the registers andforms required to be maintained under the following legislation as a part of isof compliance of the Labour Law Rules.

The replacement as above is in respect to the muster roll, registers offines, advances, leave, wage and overtime. These registers may bemaintained in the electronic form without altering the integrity, SerialNumber and contents of the columns. In the first place the aboveamendments would be applicable wherever the Central Government is theappropriate Government. In cases where State Rules apply, the existingformat may be used until amended by the respective State Government.
