Intercede with Us for the Muslim World! The Lord…gives food to the hungry, the Lord sets prisoners free… the Lord opens the eyes of the blind… the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down… (Ps 146:6- 8, Sharif Bible). When people become disillusioned, they search for alternatives. Many young Muslims are disappointed with the strict and graceless system they live under. Jesus and His Church have what they are seeking! This week, let's pray for those who are searching, and for ourselves as a Body, that we may respond with love and wisdom to bring them to Jesus. Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries NIGER: Continue to pray for the Assemblies of God of Niger as they restore their churches after the attacks by Islamic militants in January. When the 16 AG churches were burned, nearly all the pastors were attending an Acts 1:8 Conference, where they sought the Holy Spirit, interceded for the lost, and were to set church-planting and missions goals for the Decade of Pentecost. Please pray for the leaders of the AG-Niger as they set these goals, rebuild, and reach out in the power of the Spirit! TOGO: A student asks us to pray concerning the threat of Nigerian-based Islamic militant group Boko Haram. The group threatens and attacks those who join forces against them. After recent attacks in Niger, the presidents of both Togo and Benin visited the president of Niger to express their solidarity. “Pray therefore that this visit will not be used as a pretext of a threat by Boko Haram and that they will not establish themselves on Togolese soil. May the Lord preserve us from this group and their threats.” Continue to pray also that the Lord would reveal himself to these militants. From Global Initiative* Please pray for church planting efforts in the tension-filled Peshawar area of Pakistan. The AG church in Peshawar celebrated its 25 th anniversary in 2014, with government officials attending. Please pray that, as they focus on their vision for growth, the Lord will bless them, protect them, and use them to touch many in their community. For Muslim Women** Pray for God's anointing and creativity for a team that is developing a curriculum for Christian children designed to teach them how to share Jesus with their Muslim friends.
